On September 26, the UN Security Council will hold a meeting on Iran. President Trump has been confirmed to personally chair the meeting, as the US holds the council presidency for the current month.
US officials say Trump will focus on allegations of Iran violating international law and fueling “general instability” in the Middle East. It is not clear if there will be any resolutions proposed during this meeting.
This will be a high-profile public event for President Trump, coming the same week as the UN General Assembly. It’s likely to be a tense meeting as well, since all the other P5+1 nations remain in the Iran nuclear deal, despite Trump’s withdrawal.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will be in New York during the meeting for the General Assembly. Though it’s not clear what his plans are for the Security Council meeting, officials say the US would not object if Rouhani wants to speak.
This is going to be funny as hell. Will it be televised or is it pay per view?

Well, Peter, the UNSC meeting on Iran, chaired by Trump, will be held, whether Bibzy Satanyahoo authorizes it or not; there are other parties to this meeting. BTW, Israel isn’t one of them, it hasn’t been invited.

I was watching Michael Oren (Bibi sidekick) on Fox the other night. Fabulous skill in articulating the Zionist mythology. I conclude with the gravest foreboding that he could only say what he says if he actually believes it, actually ***BELIEVES*** his own bullsh*t. No doubt Netanyahu suffers the same “victimhood” delusion, which explains — and to them justifies — the Zionist homicidal/suicidal aggression.

The long standing “leading state sponsor of terrorism” charge against
Iran is bogus. No terrorist roster ever compiled by any US agency
(including State and the CT Center) has ever included any terrorist with
ties to Iran. The charge of selling arms to the Houthis who are bravely
resisting the KSA assaults, supported by the US and UAE, are w/o proof.
Iran is perfectly free to improve its ballistic missile inventory. It
was only asked by the UN not to, and not ordered not to develop
missiles. Ballistic and guided missiles are essential to Iran’s national
security which lacks a modern air force thanks to US sanctions.
So I look for Russia to tear Trump a new one on these issues at the UNSC.
He’ll be up against a Russian ambassador who actually knows something.
Surely even “allies” can tell that the USA is the one violating international law, as usual.
