Three US soldiers assigned to a training operation in Jordan were killed today by Jordanian troops at the al-Jafr Air Base, when base security opened fire on them near the gate. One Jordanian soldier was also reported wounded in the incident.
Unlike other recent incidents of US soldiers killed by allies, this incident was not chalked up to infiltration by rogue elements. Rather, Jordanian officials blamed the US soldiers, claiming their vehicle failed to stop at the gate to the air base and security reacted.
The Pentagon was a little less cut and dry on the matter, saying they can’t say for sure if it was a “deliberate” attempt to kill US soldiers or some sort of misunderstanding. They say they are working with the Jordanian government to gather more details.
US trainers in Jordan are there to train Syrian rebels, an operation which has been ongoing for years. Last year in November, two US contractors were killed in another incident in which a police officer opened fire on them.

How dare those Jordanians challenge members of the Imperial Legions. They apparently don’t understand that Jordan is no longer and independent state and has become a puppet regime run by Quislings.
Training terrorists to go to Syria. Is there some other definition of “state sponsored terrorism” that I do not know of? Clearly, these “trainees” have nothing to do with Syria’s politics, opposition, or democracy? They are paid to fight. Come to think of it, I never heard of any political goal coming from any of the “rebels”, in this “civil war”. Usually, there are at least two sides, with very different ideas of how to manage the state, or with grievances against the state. None of them are present, as far as I know. All of the groups — and I mean all — have blood on their hands, killing innocent civilians. Not just ISIS. ISIS is a relatively new group on in Syria — all the years before, the “moderates” did all the head chopping or organ eating.
The delusion of a civil war, where a population is attacked by rabid, and drugs fueled bands — has no human rights, but the armed terrorists do. Earth and heavens shall move in the Western capitals, to accuse of barbarism anyone trying to stop them. This is a new world order. The moment one group fires a shot, declares a regime brutal, it gets all the protection under universal human rights. The population, on the other hand, that is supposed to be protected by its state, army and other institutions, are in fact, deprived of any rights. No legitimacy is given to their institutions, their army, in fighting terrorism.
And here is the problem. Letting terrorists lose, and Syrian Army win, means the exposure of all that was done to population in the name of “universal human rights” protecting the armed groups. A shameful exposure of all those that participated in it. It will not be any longer possible to shut up all the Syrian people that now do not have a voice, and nobody cares for them — other then their Army. Assad may go — and he may do that gladly. As a dentist, and his wife — an incredibly intelligent Harvard educated investment banker — they ended up in a wrong place at a wrong time. But Syrian Armed forces are the heroes there, and more likely to carry on, after Assad completes his term. No matter how many more are trained — they will not be able to take power. Hillary may want to test current no-fly zone, as she sees herself as a “winner”. She may need a crisis big time, to deflect the scandals that are coming her way. Bill Clinton had Bosnia, she will have — Russia?

They say they were soldiers, probably mercs. King Abdullah basically a good guy is squeezed among many elephants here. The Royal Jordanian Army is a crack outfit punching far above its weight and does what it can to protect King and country. Too bad it’s not safe for an Amurhican to visit Jordan anymore.
