In a 273-156 vote this afternoon, the House of Representatives approved President Obama’s plan to train, fund, and arm “moderate” Syrian rebels. The bill included a handful of limitations aimed at placating disturbed rank-and-file Democrats and Republicans.
Though the vote did secure considerable no votes from both parties, the push from both parties’ leaderships to back whatever President Obama wants in his new war in Iraq and Syria.
The Senate’s leadership has already promised to back the House plan, and while the vote has yet to be scheduled it is expected to fairly quickly be pushed through, and with comparatively little opposition.
Under the bill, President Obama may arm and train the rebels as he wishes, but must provide periodic updates to the Congress on the progress of those programs, as well as track where the weapons end up, since so many previous US-provided arms have ended up in ISIS hands.

That's the reason for pentagon saying that: war with ISIS is going to be long and difficult. They just keep on arming this or the other lesser or bigger terrorists to continue the war is Syria and Iraq, in the end they have no idea whom is who and who is fighting whom. Those senators whom have voted for arming terrorism in Syria must have renewed their contracts with us weapon manufacturing companies, otherwise why would they do that, beside being blind or def not willing to hear or see the suffering of Syrian/Iraqi people in hands of ISIS.
Bu according to Ivan Eland, its happening over there, so, as long as is not happening here I/we American street intellectuals, so as our senators and other constituency can make som money out of it. I am sure that Ivan Eland "advise" have something to do with McCain being proud for what he have done for Saudi/UAE barbarians beheading people all over, wonder if the us weapon manufacturing paid to his campaign a good amount of dollars, yet what did Saudis/UAE did for him!
The $500 million is supposed to pay to fund, train, and arm 5,000 "moderate" rebels, 4,999 of whom will defect to ISIS immediately after they get weapons, and training in "finishing off the wounded."

In Obama own words; “arming those rebels was a fantasy.” How did that fantasy has now become a reality?
How about this…Anyone willing to "approve MY plan" to send those Congresscritters who voted for this idiocy to Syria instead? Perhaps they can vote the "moderates" into doing what they want.
What is missing here is the fact that a ISIS is a military force, trained by a modern military system having mercenaries as their solders paid by those who supports them. It is proven that Turkish/Erdogan government been involved in training the larger chunk of ISIS so as the Jordanians so as USG/CIA.
ISIS knew exactly where from Turkey to enter northern Iraq with hundreds of brand new Toyota Tacoma, where to find the USG military equipment and how, where and when to use them, which means a military force/advisers are still behind ISIS both in Iraq and in Syria.
Saudis/UAE are the main political force behind ISIS success which very well it is also them behind isis military success. Turkish Erdogan government excuses not willing to cooperate in bombing ISIS is yet another.
The Syrians "moderate" rebels never had 20-31000 mercenaries on their disposal, if they had then the Saudis/UAE mercenaries would have taken over Syria last year, in the other hand, ISIS already had the estimated CIA (20-31000) amount of mercenaries before invading northern Iraq from Turkey stationed in Turkish borders ready to invade.
Turkish/Erdogan government should have known about ISIS gathering in Turkey, even if the amount of ISIS mercenaries being one third of CIA estimated amount.
There are political and economical western force demanding for ISIS success, thus far the regional evidence proves that Saudis/UAE/Jordanian and Turkish Erdogan government are part of that force.
If nothing, the Turkish mafia in business of Turkish oil black market making tones of money out if Syrian people's suffering. Having said that: In political terms the Saudis/UAE/USG/English have managed to brake the unity between Iran, Iraq and Syrian nationals, what is left for these regime to do is for ISIS to succeed and become THE source of a long time war among nations in the region.
