A factory closes, forcing an employee into unemployment and his wife into selling her jewelry to make ends meet. Food and rent prices are soaring as the value of the currency dropped 10 percent in one day.
This is the face of international sanctions on the streets of everytown, Iran, where the US-pushed sanctions have destroyed much of the nation’s middle class, destroyed much of the private economy, and left the military’s “shell companies” largely untouched.
US officials have been very upfront about the goal on anti-Iran sanctions, saying they are aimed at producing public discontent, with the hope that the Iranian public, faced with a dying private sector, will force a regime change for the US.
Instead, the Iranian civilians are seeing the US deliberately doing them harm, and in their desperation are turning to the Iranian government, which still has jobs to offer and money to distribute. Far from weakening the government’s hand the sanctions are, as they so often have in other nations, cementing their control over the nation.
But, but, but…all the think tank anal-ists told us that the Iranians were stupid and they wouldn't be able to understand that WE were the ones that caused them to lose their jobs or WE were the ones that caused them to lose their homes. I mean, afterall, they're Persians and not as worldly or educated or clever as WE are…
So, Hillary, how's the "winning hearts and minds plan" working? Gotten any calls from the Iranian citizens lately to increase the sanctions and put more people willingly under the thumb of the mullahs?
They should sterilize everyone who works for the government…it should be a requirement. And if they're too old to breed, lobotomize them.
You want to know the truth? Hillary, Barack, Leon and the rest of them really don't care about winning hearts and minds. That's what they tell us and maybe themselves if they're 'gullible' enough to salve their consciences that way. They don't give a damn who suffers or who dies. Israel demands a sacrifice of blood and by G-d, it will get it.
Well the US government is a government, so they do things that strengthen governments. Whether it's themselves or another government. It's a natural occurrence. They're not a pro-freedom force after all.
Of course they are not a pro-freedon force, but they are pro-dictator and pro-war.
The US terror state has nothing to gain, but further ridicule, and scorn from the rest of the world. Hopefully China, Japan, and South Korea will stand firm in the face of these illegal, and unjust sanctions. Let's hope that Iran remains calm, and methodical in its response to American, and European economic terror.
Any American old enough to remember the Arab Oil Embargo in response to America's support of Israel in the 1973 war will surely realize that the Iranians are not going to love us for destroying their economy, and that such sanctions will only increase support for any Iranian politician who stands up to The Great Satan.
When you hear such obvious nonsense, you have to wonder what's really going on. Because it sure as heck isn't the case that the sanctions are aimed at increasing pro-American feelings in Iran.
Do yo still think that Obama wants peace???
The pressure's mounting. Israel and its supporters are shouting for blood. It's not enough to step on their feet anymore, you've got to knock their teeth out and kick them in the ribs. The violence is escalating and the victim is painted as the aggressor, so that if he dares to lift a finger in his defense the American mob will clamor for vengeance.
Its a type of war that muders civilians not by Iran but the 2 satans America and Israel.
Clear the sanctions, invite Iran to bargaining table, give them access and services and stop picking Israel as the favorite in the region since they really don't have any resources that the world needs anyway and everyone will be better off for it.
