One day after the Office of Special Counsel’s report on the “gross mismanagement” of human remains by the Dover Air Force Base mortuary, the Air Force, which heretofore insisted there was no evidence any rule had been broken, is suddenly coming out with all sorts of new information.
The verdict is even more grim than we thought. Lt. Gen. Darrell Jones, the deputy chief of personnel, confirmed that the Air Force had been cremating remains and dumping them in a nearby landfill. Lt. Gen. Jones insists its not that big of a deal though.
“That was the common practice at the time and since then our practices have improved,” Jones said, adding that they only did this in cases when bodies (or parts) were “unidentified” or when the families of the slain told the military to dispose of them.
The previous report confirmed that the Air Force had lost and mixed body parts sometimes, and that in one case they sawed off a slain Marine’s arm so he’d fit in the casket better. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta praised the Air Force for its “thoroughness” in the investigation.
Dumped in the dump? So when it comes to the nut cutting that's how they see their broken robots: as garbage.
If the US government treats its own military personnel like this, it is no wonder that 8 years later, babies are still being born with severe birth defects in al-Fallujah.
But the armchair experts online will tell you that depleted uranium is harmless. After all, it is depleted, is it not?
ROBOT CALLED GOVERNMENT
If that is the way our dead bodies are treated by government, after we have given our last drop of blood for government, surely its a window into reality as to why our living bodies are so enslaved by government. For no heart, mind or conscience has this robot machine called government.
TRUE DEMOCRACY
Government is the illusion that we should be ruled by the organized will of the majority. Problem is, government will always be the organized will of the upper half of society, the half most aggressive and wealthy, the very ones that should have absolutely no control of society.
So, true democracy is minority rule, namely allowing no one to vote, hold office or fund elections who has all three:
(1) Great job.
(2) Terrific home.
(3) Deluxe healthcare.
ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
!
Disgusting war and the human fodder it's creating! huh…lucky me, ain't a sucker for nobody's war.
Wars are memorialized through the names of "heroic" commanders and political figures. Cannon fodders who do the actual killing and dying barely register as historical footnotes. Whatever is done to dispose of their corpses does nothing to change the fact that young lives are cut short, with often ruinous effects on the families left behind. A dignified burial may provide some appearance of closure to the living, but a cemetery is nothing more than a manicured landfill for the dead.
If only the prospect of being treated as common rubbish after death can overcome the false romantic appeal of heroic sacrifice that draws generation after generation of young people into taking part in these murderous "adventures"!
DECLARATION OF SLAVERY — SLAVE OWNER JEFFERSON
True meaning — Declaration of Independence
We hold these illusions to be pure darkness, that All men are created with equal intelligence and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are the right to kill that we may have Life on the land, the right to enslave so that we may have unlimited Liberty to rule, and the right to compete for wealth, to hoard all wealth and to war for wealth, as this is what the pursuit of Happiness is all about.
totally disgusting. Even foreigners treat our soldiers better, rememberance day tomorrow – Flanders Fields.
Now, this is nauseating! What happened to the folded flags, Arlington Cemetery and the dirge cries?
Mathew 11:17
"'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.'
So THAT's where Soylent Green comes from- I was wondering.
Joking aside, though, this is so wrong on so many levels- even if the families released the military to dispose of the remains, you'd think they'd do so in a dignified manner befitting a soldier. Cremate the remains of you must, but how difficult is it to send ashes on board the next Navy ship out of port for burial at sea, or what have you? I'm sure our men and women in uniform sleep more comfortably knowing that if they die and are unidentified they'll be tossed into a landfill somewhere.
Agreed. Still, I have to remember how my late fathers funeral turned out. Here was a WW2 vet, career military man, and on the appointed day that the color guard were to show up they got lost and never arrived. Not so much as a by your leave. It figures.
Honor those who deserve to be honored. Haven't they done much worse things to the people they've invaded and occupied? This is kind of poetic justice of sorts.
Soldiers are people who get used.
They are not brave, they are not protecting anything. They are just people who get used. Governments throughout history hail their bravery and courage. They aren't brave, they are just people who get used.
We ought to stop the myth that war makes you a man. It makes you a dead man, man. And there's no point to letting the banks and politicians allow you to ever become part of any military.
You don't have to be a pacifist. You have to be someone who doesn't want to be used.
Soldiers are people who get used. Don't support our troops….Save them. Bring them back from these assinine wars against villagers, herdsman and bakers.
Isn’t this a fitting place for the murders of the empire?
Soldiers are people who get used.
Soldiers are people who get used by the 1% THEN thrown in the dung heap!! The entire country would end up there AFTER the 1% is through with them!!!
Lt. Gen. Darrell Jones, the deputy chief of personnel, should be cashered for his comment that it wasnt a big deal.
then he MIGHT get it!
