Having been snubbed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Amano Yukiya visited with Israel’s President Shimon Peres instead.
Amano’s visit was presumed to be part of his overall goal to pressure Israel to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), but instead his visit became, as so many official visits to Israel do, all about Iran.
Peres, whose position in Israel is largely ceremonial, demanded that Amano and the rest of the world “acknowledge the danger” Iran poses to Israel and the rest of the world, adding that Iran “threatens to use nuclear weapons.”
Which of course isn’t true, because Iran doesn’t have nuclear weapons. Israel and a few allies have claimed Iran might be trying to develop the technology that would hypothetically allow them to develop a nuclear weapon in the future if they wanted to.
But Iran of course has been denying this, and has certainly never “threatened” to use nuclear weapons. Indeed, Iran’s Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a fatwa against the nation even possessing such weapons.
Israel, on the other hand, is known to possess the only nuclear arsenal in the Middle East and is also the only nation in the region which is not a member in good standing of the NPT. This was supposed to be the goal of Amano’s visit as, after all, the IAEA is pressing to create a nuclear-free zone in the Middle East.

Peres became from a clown a senile clown.However, recently ,he invited young people to join politics because "it is very funny".The old clown is amused although he pretenses that Israel is under "existential threat".
It seems every day an Israeli politician makes one ludicrous statement after another. It's getting old real fast. Do people really take these statements from the criminally insane seriously? If so, we are doomed. I mean c'mon, enough is enough.
Keep in mind that politicians make statements with primarily their domestic constituency in mind. And for Israelis, such remarks such as made here by Peres are consistent with their domestic "narrative". I've put narrative in quotes because it is so often heard these days and is used to distinguish one viewpoint among many, and to do so gently, so as to slip it past the reader without undue attention — "Theses are not the droids you're looking for…" — the fact that "narrative" is really a euphemism for cultural myth (ie, load of bull).
Why is the world so concerned about use of Nuclear Technology by Iran- when the biggest arsenal of Nuclear bomb is said to be in Israel is ignored ? Israel is the country in continuous conflict with all its neighbors and is more a military state then a free society.
Israeli Official 1: "Oh Crap, they're coming to demand inspections of our "secret" nuclear activities again. What do we do?"
Israeli Official 2: "Make a bunch of noise about Iran and hustle them out the door before they can do any harm."

Is every Israeli politician an habitual liar? It seems that everything that they say is a lie and they should be called out on this by those interviewing them or listening to them. How can you threaten to do something with something you don't have? How can anyone take them seriously? They have become pathetic!
There's got to be something in the water in israel and america. Something that lends itself to promote insanity and dementia. Of course, this comment is in reference to the proles, not the power elite.
The power elite probably haven't quite yet figured how to make a quick buck out of starting World War III, so need to put a few more props in place before ordering an attack on Iran. Otherwise, the sacking of Iran would have already started.
It is amazing the only nation in the middle east with nuclear weapons denies the existence then refuses the inspection which would prove the truth in the matter. Me think that someone is not telling the truth but I have noticed that Iran has not invaded anyone other than Iraq who attacked in a very long time. Iran does not apparently have any major concentration camps and our news now have a major effort to get everyone to hate muslims. Give peace a chance and sign the agreement. After you sign then you might not look like you might have a truthful point.
Why do they even bother? Nobody believes this lying sack of shit any more than they believe any American politician. It can only be for the 25% of Americans who are so brain-dead they can barely find their way out the front door every morning.
The problem is that EVERYBODY beleives it. Israel is the golden child, whatever she does is just and she is always truthful. I have little hope anymore of this changing, it has just been this way too long, and people are too stupid. I am at least thankful for you people who have your head on straight.

I have heard that propagandized diatribe works: "truthful or not"? It takes hundreds of thousands of rebuttal messages to undo the "mind set" that one misleading message instills in receptive audiences.
