A new International Atomic Energy Agency report was leaked on Tuesday, stating that IAEA inspectors found uranium at 83.7% enrichment in Iran. An unspecified number of such particles were found. The report confirmed Iran is not stockpiling any uranium enriched to more than 60% purity.
That last part is important, as the weapons grade enrichment level is 90%, meaning there is still no weapons threat.
Efforts are being made to explain the new particles. Iran has suggested they accidentally formed during cascade configuration. The IAEA appears to accept that explanation, so hopefully this will turn out to be a non-issue.
A non issue hyped by CNN as proof that Iran is sprinting towards having a nuke in 2 weeks, no nuance or question about it in their view. They’re hoping to get the US into 3 major wars at once.
Exactly
“Hyped” is the operative word. World War 3 has been waiting a long time, though, I hope it can wait a lot longer…
We had a great deal with Iran to lift crippling sanctions in exchange for no nukes. Biden ran for restoring the deal as a campaign promise and he completely lied. Iran is fully within its rights to do this now that the deal is dead.
Iran adheres to the NPT, signed by Iran in 1958, ratified in 1970.
How do you know what is going on there? Goering built up his airforce in secret.
They allow inspectors in their country. That is the only thing the world can use to evaluate “what is going on there”. Plus the JCPOA was the NPT on steroids but that wasn’t good enough for Israel. And did Goering have intrusive inspections in Germany, while building up that air force, that were equal to the JCPOA in Iran? Or even the NPT in Iran?
If there is no inspections on the USA then there should be no inspections on any other Country!
“…so hopefully this will turn out to be a non-issue.” Never underestimate Satanyahu’s creative side. He used props full of cartoonish lies that even had less truth in the past. He can use this as an “issue” just the same for the welcoming believers in “rapture.” (Sarcasm alert)
So what…?!
