Iran Drone Strikes Injure Two in Iraqi Kurdistan

Attack targets PKK members in a car

Iran continued attacking Iraqi Kurdistan Tuesday, firing drones at several PKK targets. At least two Kurds were reported injured in Suleimaniah.

Iran started such attacks last week, accusing the Kurds of fueling unrest inside Iran. Attacks continued against several targets.

The US shot down one of the drones last week. Iran warned the US not to interfere with the operations.

Iran says the operation is meant to disarm “separatist terrorists,” though the major protests within Iran are on religious strictness, not separatist ambitions.
