At least three people were arrested as Mossad-linked agents in Iran, according to the Iranian judiciary. The arrests took place in April, and the nationality of the three was undisclosed.
Iranian officials say the three were involved in a plot in Sistan-Baluchistan Province, and that they intended to assassinate nuclear scientists inside Iran.
A number of Iranian scientists and engineers have been assassinated recently, and Iran is keen to blame Israel. Israel has not attempted to deny these plots, and rather warned the public to watch out for Iranian retaliation abroad against Israeli interests.
Iran’s media reports on the Mossad cell don’t offer a lot of details, so it’s hard to say if this was a huge assassination cell that would’ve been involved in many plots, or is just one small group, potentially one of many.
Recent assassinations have not just targeted nuclear scientists, but also aerospace engineers, and geologists involved in other military-significant enterprises within Iran. Most of the assassinations lately have involved poisoning.
Their handlers in Israel won’t care. These agents are merely disposable “assets”.
I don’t think so. Iran needs to keep them there until Israel/ U.S. stops their war against Iran.
A couple of Iranian agents will be made guests until an exchange is quietly arranged.

Assassination along with torture is a long-standing Israeli specialty; and they offer a full franchising package. Almost exclusively they kill helpless civilians and with a decided preference for women. The death squads in El Salvador who murdered Oscar Romero, the six Jesuits and their housekeeper and her daughter, the four US women missionaries, including two nuns, and numerous others; all on purchase for Bill Casey in Reagan’s Central American dirty war; the whole style of the War on Terror; and recently US citizen, Shireen Abu Akleh, –which job, given the conspicuous lack of Foggy Bottom even perfunctory upset, they may well have got permission from their soul mate, bloody Gina.
Iran needs to hang someone, anyone at this point.
They’re “keen on blaming Israel” alright. Who else would it be?
