Saudi Coalition Kills Over 90 Houthis in Maarib Airstrikes

16 strikes carried out on Friday

Though there are not always daily casualty reports out of Yemen’s contested city of Maarib, that fight is still ongoing. On Friday, over 90 Houthis were killed in airstrikes.

16 strikes were reported around the contested province in the 24 hour period, and 12 military vehicles were claimed destroyed. The Houthis have not commented on the matter.

The Houthis have taken the vast majority of the Maarib Province in an offensive that has been ongoing since February. Maarib City is surrounded, with a siege expected.

The Saudi-led coalition has been increasingly reliant on airstrikes to slow that offensive, killing tens of thousands of Houthis. So far this hasn’t stopped anything, as the Houthis have kept sending more reinforcements into the area.
