Reports out of Syia’s state media claimed that there are two US soldiers missing in action in East Syria, after the vehicle they were in was attacked by forces unknown. The report claimed the vehicle was destroyed and burned.
Details are not clear, and the spokesman for the US military operation in Syria has rejected the report as “another nonsense article.“
What is EASTERN Syria? Depends on how you define it — but I am not aware of any US presence in anything I would call eastern Syria. In fact, what positions are under US control? Other then Al-Tanf and the bizarre named group we keep there. If anybody is still guarding broken down oil fields — why? With enough glut in oil market — does Trump still want oil? Even if producing — will he have any place to store it?
He just wants Syria to not have it, whatever the cost, it’s the standard “starve them out” procedure.
We have contractors too, they technically aren’t ‘US military but they may look like them and may have American passports.
