ABC News is reporting tonight that the Pentagon has been quietly deploying special forces units across the Middle East, particularly in Yemen, and in several nations around Northern Africa, moves seen as a prelude to an escalation in attacks on al-Qaeda and ISIS-linked forces across the region.
Officials say that there is a sense that the Trump Administration is more interested in using special operations’ forces, and that they are particularly interested in attacking al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) targets in Yemen, saying the lack of a functioning government in Yemen justifies more US operations.
Troops around the horn of Africa and elsewhere across the continent’s north are also being deployed, and while the exact details on what they’re going to end up doing aren’t yet clear, those familiar with the situation say the deployed troops expect to “see a lot of action.”
These deployments continued despite a move a week after Trump’s inauguration to carry out a ground raid by SEAL Team 6 in Yemen. The raid was roundly described as a disastrous failure, though President Trump has continued to argue it is a success and seems undeterred on repeating the effort.
February 28, 2017 Video: War on Syria: Manufactured Revolution and Fake Media Narrative
Canadian independent journalist Eva Bartlett is the object of a smear campaign by Canada’s mainstream media.
Listen to what she has to say and then decide who is telling the truth.
The mainstream media denies the existence of terrorists linked to Al Qaeda.
According to mainstream sources, there were no terrorists in Aleppo.

Jan 17, 2017 – Genocide In Yemen: Media Complicit In US-Saudi War Crimes
The people of Yemen have found themselves struggling not only for survival, but for a space in the mainstream media’s war coverage. In the shadow of the conflict in Syria, the men, women and children of Yemen are being starved by a war initiated by Saudi Arabia and aided by the Unites States.

The new generation of ruling princes in Saudi Arabia has been a disaster. As much evil that they are bringing to the region, from Al-Qaeda and ISIS and all minds of swarms of migrating Salafi cults — and a war of pure hate against Zaidi of Yemen, the survivors of those that fled religious prosecution into the mountains of Yemen over one thousand years ago. As the country does not have political depth, any difficulty within the ruling echelon can be destabilizing. And the activist/militarist posture is not capable of sustaining a socioeconomic order upon which the kingdom rests. The Kingdom along with Jordan are in peril of destabilization. All elites — ours nothwithstanding — when in trouble they dig faster and deeper.
If a “lack of a functioning government” is a reason for more operations we should be doing operations in Washington.
An empire’s appetite is insatiable
lack of a functioning government…
One could probably make the same argument about
Washington DC.
So Drump picks up where Obama and Bush and the Clintons left off by opening up a new front and burning down more of the ME in alliance with Gulf Monarchies and Tel Aviv … just more of the same while military mobilization escalates against Russia.
Yes of course he does and there’s little we can do other than keep protesting against his actions.
Other than the least we can do is continue to rag on Raimondo for lending his support to Trump.
Trump gets a free pass to do as he pleases without the small amount of opposition antiwar.com can offer through it’s existence! It has to please the hawks immensely!
I all fairness Justin has called out Drump for escalating Regime Change wars… but he should have known better in the first place as many of us did when DT was tweeting one liners about foreign policy
Hi
Sorry for that. I love reading all the pros and cons of war, I was brought up to be against any war, my dad did 2 tours in Vietnam as what he told me an intelligence guy, he always told me that make sure you can win a war before you have one,he always said nobody won Vietnam we all lost. So it stuck with me until 9-11 happened and I lost a sister aunt and my 4 yo nephew. I did the only thing possible a 18 yo kid could do To bring peace to my lost love ones, I joined the military and embraced everything it had to offer, 2 years later I was fortunate to make it into a special forces unit, I did 4 deployments to different countries all hostile to us. I made a difference to myself and my country. You can’t be bullied in life because it never stops. Until you make it stop. Thanks. DP. United States Navy retired.
So you joined the Navy in 2001 and are already retired in 2017?
