In an interview airing Sunday on Fox News, President Trump appeared to confirm reports that during last year’s mid-term elections he approved a cyberattack against Russia. The hacking reportedly targeted a “Russian troll farm.”
President Trump says that he “would rather not” directly confirm the report, but that “you can believe that the whole thing happened, and it happened during my administration.”
Trump later told the interviewer that “intelligence says ‘please don’t talk intelligence,'” before going on and saying that he never believes intelligence coming from Comey, Brennan, and Clapper.
The report initially came from the Washington Post in February, and said that the military blocked the “troll farm” to make sure they remained offline throughout the US midterm election. The group was kept offline until a day after the vote too to prevent them “casting doubt” on the vote’s results.
The world’s most expensive spamfilter in action! Because reading the wrong message on your feed can change your mind in the elections? A bizarre base for arguing that such a democracy would be worth protecting in the first place.
Of course they don’t have any credentialed offensive IT security professionals to weigh in on this claim. Then again, they don’t cook up this BS to try and fool IT sec pros, now do they?
The blind advising the fool…???
” he never believes intelligence coming from Comey, Brennan, and Clapper.”
And for darned good reason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someday, somehow, we the people have to regain control of the military complex or it just all might go up in smoke because we seem to be the problem in the world.
