A new report from UN rights chief Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein warns that the Iraqi military victory in Fallujah marks a return to “full-throttle sectarian violence” in the country, urging the Iraqi government to do something to rein in allied Shi’ite militias who are increasingly taking revenge on Sunni Arab civilians.
While a recurring story throughout the ISIS war, this latest violence against fleeing civilians began during the siege of Fallujah, with militias rounding up Sunni men and boys and taking them to be interrogated and tortured.
Per Hussein’s report, one of the militias, Ketaeb Hezbollah, has kidnapped at least 900 civilians over the course of the Fallujah offensive so far, and has executed at least 49 of them, saying this marked one of the worst sectarian purges of the entire war.
After scandals started during the siege, which led to assurances that the militias would not enter Fallujah itself, but would just participate in fighting on the outskirts. This was scrapped almost immediately after the city fell, and despite assurances from them that they meant no harm they almost immediately started looting and setting fires.
Camps around the outskirts of Fallujah are full of displaced women and children, many of them still wondering where the men went, and others reporting that they eventually returned, tortured either nearly to death, or entirely so. Many hundreds remain unaccounted for, and the number could be much larger than officially confirmed.
Fallujah was supposed to be an improvement on the offensive against Ramadi, an even bigger Sunni Arab which was virtually destroyed. And while Fallujah mostly stands intact, the militias’ abuse is likely to be more galling and even worse for sectarian relations than Ramadi itself.
Here we go sgain. Sectarian violence is not surging — Saudi cult is doing all the killing, take away their highway to Saudi Arabia and stop food , money and ammunition– and “sectarian” violence will be gone. Why blame Shia for being su essful against them. Are the attacks in Turkey “sectarian”? A month ago China and Turkey signed a nearly billion dollars deal to build an online trading platform connecting all Turkic communities along Silk Road spanning from Uyghurs in China and Kirgyzstan across Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan across Caucases to Turkey. Sure enough quite by “accident”, a group of terrorists from some of these countries in a spirit of diversity attacked Istambul. Sectarian or an obvious intelligence style “cleverness”. In all of those countries we have for years defended Saudi funded cults — only recently named ISIS. We have slammed the governments of those countries for banning them and violating their freedom of religion! In Iraq both Sunni a d Shia population want ISIS and their Saudi sponsored ideas of Caliphate out of their country. Nothing sectarian about it.
Thdre is a reason Iraqi army is majority Shia — most of Sunni areas are occupied by ISIS. They do not willingly suffer ISIS rule and are more tthen happy to see anyone, Marshians included, liberate them. We keep on saying it is sectarian. Yes there are many youung and stupid Sunni youth that fell for ISIS ideas that moslems do not need governments or borders and look to Saudi Arabia for the leadership. But no Sunni tribal leaders supportt this and many have been killed by ISIS while others escaped to Baghdad. And they are working with the government to free their regions from ISIS. They are gratefull to Shia for putting up a fight. They are not saying that “sectarian” violence is Shia fault. They are not saying that government should stop attacking ISIS to appease them to not bomb civilians on a moslem holliday.
Considering the sour grapes coming out of our press on the news of ISIS losing Falujah and finding fault with government on every turn — fighting ISIS is clearly not our priority.

As it has been repeatedly noted by American analysts, US politicians and journalists are working hand in hand to conceal their crimes and “horrors” from their fellow citizens. Therefore it’s not an easy job to find any confirmation regarding such “horrors” imposed by Washington across the globe “in the name of the greater good for Americans.”
