ISIS’ parent organization, based out of Syria, has issued a new video today celebrating last weekend’s downing of a Russian airliner in the Sinai Peninsula, crediting their Sinai affiliate with the attack, bragging of “healing souls by killing Russians.”
The downing of the plane last Saturday, killing all 224 people abroad, was claimed by the local ISIS ground, though they never offered details on precisely how the plane was brought down. Initial skepticism waned, as growing intelligence pointed toward private communications among ISIS operatives about the attack, and ultimately toward a bombing.
US officials are now saying they are “99.99% sure” the plane was brought down by a bomb, with many believing that ISIS got an airport employee at Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh airport to plant the bomb inside the plane for them shortly before takeoff. An explosion was detected about 24 minutes after takeoff, and the plane broke apart, scattered in the Sinai mountains.
Interestingly, ISIS still hasn’t offered any details of their own on how the attack was carried out, which may well have been a shrewd decision on their part, as it has kept the story in the news all week, with several different rival theories on how the attack was carried out, and the Egyptian junta continuing to deny that it was an attack at all.
The downing of the plane looks to be a huge blow for Egypt, as it has halted flights from several nations into Sinai, badly damaging the nation’s tourism industry, which was still struggling to recover from the 2013 military coup.
Not just a huge blow for Egypt. An even bigger blow for Putin, who seems to have thought that he would get a free ride in Syria, as in Ukraine, by limiting the number of Russian military personnel on the ground and thereby the number of casualties.Losing access to Sharm el-Sheikh is a huge blow to Russians in general. The German media claim that there are 79000 Russians currently stuck there and the airport's Wikipedia page lists 14 Russian destinations, including ones as far away as Krasnoyarsk in Siberia. A lot of people's hopes of getting a break from the Russian winter have been dashed. Also, we now understand why ISIS initially claimed it was a missile that brought down the plane. If they had said it was a bomb from the start, their man at Sharm el-Sheikh airport might not have had time to escape. The number of people who load baggage for a given flight is quite limited and the suspect would probably have been identified fairly quickly.
I wonder if is these Brit's? Aug 5, 2015 British Special Forces "Dressing Up" As ISIS…What Could Go Wrong?
The "elite" British SAS special forces are dispatching over 120 troops to Syria to dress up as ISIS fighters and attack Syrian targets. In today's Thought For The Day, James looks back at a couple of the lowlights of the bumbling SAS forces and examines the 2005 incident where the SAS was caught in Basra dressing up as Arabs and shooting Iraqis in order to fuel ethnic tensions in the country.

I distinctly remember that incident. Also, I remember that on 9-11, when everyone was tuned in to TV for info, the commercial channels switched to a feed coming from Israel purporting to be live scenes of Palestinian kids celebrating waving little Palestinian flags. Predictably American conservatives erupted in rage. I figured that it was bs because of the time difference between New York and Israel should have put the scenes in twilight while the offered pictures appeared to be in late morning or early afternoon. Sure enough, it came out that the scenes were filmed weeks earlier. The Israeli photographer admitted as mush stating that he got the kids to celebrate by buying them sweets. He bragged that he felt that the tape would eventually be valuable – and it got used craftily to get Americans to hate the Palestinian kids. The Israeli photographer was interviewed by PBS several days after 9-11. Any records of this are probably down a deep memory hole now.
So, the SAS dresses up like ISIS fighters and does what ISIS fighters do by attacking Syrian targets. That would explain the astounding military effectiveness of an organization that is presented by the Western narrative as a gaggle of deluded girls, uncultured brutes, and Islamic intellectuals yearning for meaning in life.

The US "bombs" ISIL for months and not a bit of retaliation. The Russians bomb ISIL for one month and — voila! — there's retaliation. At least that's what we're supposed to believe. The NSA/CIA drone above posting above would have you believe that it's a political blow to Putin. That's a very interesting way of looking at things, because it frames what he wants to happen within the narrative his government spins. By the logic of the Western narrative, George W. Bush should have been politically relegated to the ocean on 9/11. That of course didn't happen, and neither will Putin be politically damaged where it matters, in Russia. This begs a question, however: What if the Western objective of politically damaging Putin is what is actually behind the destruction of the Russian A321?
So the Israeli Supplied Islamic State have let Russia know who their next target should be? Better get those boys in line for the next Nobel prize…
