North Korean officials said they believe that the US government is responsible for repeated attacks against their infrastructure, which once again knocked out the nation’s Internet access today.
It’s the fourth time North Korea’s Internet service has gone done this week, and coming immediately after President Obama threatened “retaliation” against North Korea for the Sony hack, that’s seen as at least a possibility.
The White House continues to be deliberately coy on the matter, refusing to either confirm or deny that they are the ones knocking down North Korea’s Internet. Today, North Korea’s mobile network was also knocked out, so whoever is doing it seems to be escalating the attacks.
North Korea is being very clear, by contrast, insisting they had nothing to do with the group that hacked Sony Pictures, and condemning them for threatening attacks on movie theaters.
Being an Empire keeps us out of harm’s way? — Not hardly
Our Empire should be the last to complain, for CIA stupidity created cyber warfare when their Sussex worm destroyed the computer control system on Iran’s newest set of nuclear centrifuges. And such a can of worms will we from now on have to battle, for any teenager in quest of some computer glory will come to set fire to our firewalls and saturate our hard drives with gigabits and gigabits of runaway data.
Reminds me of that time when those 'rebels' gassed Ghouta, and Obama was stuck with threatening to carry out expressed Jewish Lobby wishes…only to be thwarted because Military members didn't like the side that landed them on and Putin assisted with a 'body slam' (among other reasons).
Jeez that was great. Remember? After two weeks of stealth mode discussing how not to make the public statements 'too Israel-centric,' they came up with–I kid you not: We-Stand-by-Those-Other-Gassed-People.
'Reminds' because–well, maybe BHO learned-a-lesson: Just play along with the frame up. Coincidentally, NK is about 1/50th-of-an-Iran in a certain lexicon…
And Barry won't admit he was wrong about Gouta either.
Of course there was that massive problem for the average man on the land that he couldn't get a roaming signal from his cell, and his laptop had less internet connectivity than usual!
Kick war materials industry out of government — High Society could do it
For surely, allowing lobbyists in the war materials industry to bribe politicians into creating a state of war with North Korea, just to maximize profit in the killing machine business, surely this is a criminal sabotage of our overall economy.
For North Korea has by far the lowest paid work force in all the world and could out-compete any competitor when it comes to mass-producing things. For having a strong trading partnership with North Korea, what other relationship could better boost our overall economy?
Just to paraphrase a Pat Buchanan quote from a few years ago. "If you have nukes, you get a cyber attack; if you have no nukes, you get the 82nd airborne".
I'm continually amazed and disheartened that the USG insists on provoking a nutcase with nuclear weapons. They have to understand that NK is ruled by an egomaniac who probably doesn't like being dissed – Godhood is so hard and eventually he is going to reach a point that is most likely going to come back to haunt the USG. Leave the fool alone. It's not worth having one of our port cities light up in the middle of the night. Sacrificing some (thousands or millions) of our innocent citizens to further a regimen of regime change around the world does not have to be SOP.
Nutcase? I see the propagandists have gotten to you too. All of the proclaimed enemies are nutcases aren't they. While some of us look at the nutcase's track record and then decide. Would your psychopath, Dick Cheney qualify as a nutcase in your mind?
luv from Canada.
absolutely…
Where the agressivity of Obama come from ? Maybe an unlucky youth ? Some complexes ?
Doubtless China and Russia are carefully studying how the NASA is conducting this juvenile retaliation for an imagined "attack". How many "once only" vulnerabilities are being wasted to accomplish nothing? Maybe it would be a good idea to keep some of these secrets until they were needed to respond to a real attack.
The USA complains when they are hacked by enemies or frenemies. Kim Jong Un may be a nut and a ty rant but that's no reason to make a movie like that. It's a good thing they have nuclear weapons so the USA & its allies can't attack them.
Just the effeminate and petty reaction you would expect from St. Barry. Not that I am suggesting we go to war with DPRK at all. But everyone is saying the Sony hack was not attributable to them. when is Barry going to come out and admit he was wrong, even about something so stupid as this?
the fact that he can't or won't shows what a chump he is.
