Most funding requests go through a period of debate where the administration requests a set amount and various congressional factions start trying to pare it down to a more manageable sum. That is not the case with Israel aid.
A new Pentagon request for $225 million in “emergency” aid for Israel, above and beyond the billions sent there annually, was panned by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid as far too low.
“We should not give the Israeli people the minimum amount of aid and then cross our fingers and hope it all works out in the future,” insisted Reid, without detailing exactly how many more hundreds of millions of dollars he would throw at Israel.
The latest military aid package comes in spite of administration efforts to convince Israel to agree to a ceasefire, though Congressional eagerness to bankroll Israel above all other concerns means that Israel can safely ignore calls for a ceasefire without risking the gravy train.
Better yet, let Harry pick up the money from one of his constituents- Sheldon Adelson.

I believe that the "Palestinian rockets" are made in Israel. I can imagine some Israeli firm having a contract to build unguided, totally worthless, garbage can rockets which are then fobbed off on gullible or complicit Palestinians as something to fight the IDF with. These, then are launched by idiots or undercover Israeli troops themselves. A big hubbub is made and a new excuse for killing more Arabs is generated. Ditto, the tunnels. Anything to convince the mouth-breathing FOX News or CNN viewer that Israel is facing some kind of a real threat. Everyone should ask their elected how funding the Israeli war machine helps the American people. What is the ROI for the American people? The Jewish Israelis have a pretty good standard of living while millions of Americans are below the poverty line – which Congress is forever attempting to lower even further by cutting programs that provide a minimum of support to these Americans.

Note that I sent a note about killing people in Gaza & we make no mention of deaths in Gaza. Brady himself is semi-literate & this was clearly typed out by an intern, if not just an AIPAC form letter:

Israel is not even a third world nation so it should stand on its own.
