Jamal Jamal, the Palestinian Ambassador to the Czech Republic, was killed today in a bomb explosion in his residence, in what officials are terming “definitely not a terrorist attack.”
Jamal was in the process of cleaning out the old embassy that used to house the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s offices, and a long-forgotten safe was delivered to his home.
Jamal asked his wife to get a pen and paper to catalogue the contents of the safe, but after she left an explosion was heard. Police say they suspect the explosive was inside the safe as a “security mechanism,” though it would be extremely unusual to use such a large bomb as a safety trigger.
Jamal was badly injured by the bomb and was rushed to the hospital, where he died shortly thereafter. Officials are saying “foul play” is not suspected, though it seems entirely possible that it was foul play from a quarter century ago that he inadvertently stumbled across.
" A long-forgotten safe was delivered to his home" and "unusual to use such a large bomb as a safety trigger". I say, if it walks like a Mossad Duck and quacks like a Mossad duck ….
It is a Mossad Duck. You got it, Lydia. Great job.
lydia476 probably everybody including me was thinking about Mossad at the first thought. On the second though one must hear this piercing silence coming from Ramallah. and sees there is something wrong. The safe was long time (25 years or more) "forgotten" in old offices of PLO used until now as a Palestinian Embassy. However, somehow Mr. Jamel knew the access code for it and successfully opened it.
I used to tie identification tags to keys for padlocks I have…then I couldn't remember where I safely stored the keys. Hell, I can't even remember my own phone number… this guy is a wizard…well, was.
the questions i have are, why did he have the safe delivered to his house rather than check its contents where ever it was.
also it was "neglected in one of the areas of the old embassy.. No one had touched it for 20 to 25 years,"
"The safe was recently moved from the old embassy building, but it had come from a building that used to house the Palestinian Liberation Organization's offices in the 1980s."
maybe im reading it wrong but it sound to me like it was moved twice recently (not including be delivered to his house) and assuming the combination was recorded some where(maybe delivered along with the safe) there is no way to say it had not been tampered with very recently

Days ago there was a story about the NSA intercepting deliveries. Coincidence? I think not.
