From soldiers who surrendered in battle to civilians perceived to be sympathetic to the Assad government, Syria’s various rebel factions take a lot of prisoners. Many of them don’t live very long, however.
That’s because, as a new human rights report from Amnesty International is reporting, Syrian rebels regularly end up summarily executing their detainees, with some groups releasing videos of the executions after the fact to brag about them.
It is just one of many examples in the new report (pdf) detailing the growing number of human rights violations by the Western-backed Syrian rebels, including torture and arbitrary detentions.
Free Syrian Army officials didn’t dispute the report, but denied that it was a problem, insisting that revenge killings “happen in wars all over the place” and that each of these cases should be treated as “individual cases” instead of the broad trend that it indeed is.
Is this something that you just find out Jason…? These inhuman are the barbarians from England, rest of Europe and Saudi Arabia.., they are illegitimate sons of a regime so brutal that even Neo hitlerism would bow to it…, as they do…, so what do you expect Jason.., what do you expect from the Anglo Saxon to do in Iraq or Afghanistan.., this is the same.., what do you expect from a barbarian to do.., negotiate for peace…., wake up man.
The gasoline prices are high for the Saudis to have more money to spend for all us wars.., write about that Jason.., live the Syrian war alone. You are confusing people.
Not only this, USA did even intentionally create those extremists:
Due to US extremist Islam schools:
see http://www.globalresearch.ca/9-11-analysis-from-r…
“The United States spent millions of dollars to supply Afghan schoolchildren with textbooks filled with violent images and militant Islamic teachings….The primers, which were filled with talk of jihad and featured drawings of guns, bullets, soldiers and mines, have served since then as the Afghan school system’s core curriculum. Even the Taliban used the American-produced books,..”, (Washington Post, 23 March 2002)
“Advertisements, paid for from CIA funds, were placed in newspapers and newsletters around the world offering inducements and motivations to join the [Islamic] Jihad.” (Pervez Hoodbhoy, Peace Research, 1 May 2005)
“Bin Laden recruited 4,000 volunteers from his own country and developed close relations with the most radical mujahideen leaders. He also worked closely with the CIA, … Since September 11, [2001] CIA officials have been claiming they had no direct link to bin Laden.” (Phil Gasper, International Socialist Review, November-December 2001)
This is one more reason why the rebels must be defeated. Ultimately, it is the US-NATO and Israel that are calling the shots with the Saudis and Qatar funding it. Maybe someone will get wise and knock Saudi Arabia and the GCC out of the box- i.e., their rulers- permanently.
Sorry, but who cares?
This is a fight between two equally repellent gangs of vicious thugs, both of which are hostile to Israel and the west. Our best course is to cheer them on from the sidelines while they beat each other to a pulp.
No it is not. This is a propaganda, and there is no sign of equality here. If only we have a free press, this would be easy to find out. Syrians want their army to protect them, as these monsters have been killing civilians from the start. And on a massive scale to scare them into joining, or giving false statements to "rebel activists", giving money, food, or just for being who they are. Well known actors have paid with their lives for being against the terrorists. These are the scum of earth, and nothing is sacred. How many babies they killed? Women, old people. How about teachers, postmen, garbage collectors, social workers, parlamentarians, shopkeepers, students at Allepo University or just any civilians that they just happen to grab on the street? For how long has this been going on? It is unthinkable that any sane person would think these people should govern such a civilized place as Syria? What "repellent gangs of vicious thugs" you have in mind? People want army to protect them, plain and simple. As would you should we — God forbid — ever have to face this.
Problem is, any army that wins a war using such tactics, surely they will rule with brutal imperialism of equal or greater terror, even unto our great grandchildren who will be as disgusted by it as we.
"Sorry, but who cares?"
Those of us who care about preventing human suffering. Not you apparently.
Bah, humbug to Amnesty. Amnesty and CAABU (Council for British Arab Understanding) organised a demonstration outside the Syrian Embassy in London in June 2011 calling for the overthrow of Assad. A large, well publicised event. In 1991 Amnesty backed the pack of lies re the Iraqi soldiers throwing Kuwaiti babies out of their incubators and leaving them to die. They have never apologised. That arguably sealed Iraq's fate ever since. They learned nothing from the carnage of Iraq, moved on to Syria and now worry. Shame, shame, shame.
No wonder they are recruiting any arab extremist or criminal they can get. And it is clear for them that the salary of 1200$ is only the fixed part, on top they get looting and raping Syrian people.
Due to US extremist Islam schools (see http://www.globalresearch.ca/9-11-analysis-from-r… ) they need not to feel as bad guys doing this, because they are fighting against bas Assad supporters (i.e. 75% of Syrian people)and sentencing them. So they are the heros of Islam in NATO- and Arab dictator TVs.

with out really getting in to the details of the who's and why's here,
not much a guerrilla force can do with captives when they have no means to reliably detain people, lock one or two up in a safe house, let em go, or kill em.
what im serious, do you expect them to take and properly treat prisoners, when they probably can't sleep in the same spot each night.
just like in iraq the gloves are off

Please stop calling them "Syrian Rebels". They are neither "Syrian" nor are they "Rebels".
Let's call a spade a spade here.
They are US government-sponsored foreign Al-Qaeda terrorists, not "Syrian Rebels".
“It's quite revealing to compare the situation in Syria with the bolshevik revolution in Russia in1917:
1) Both started with popular discontent with current political system
2) Both countries were at historical breakthrough point directing their economies on new tracks and experiencing significant economical growth
"Syria's economy was booming in March 2011. Annual growth was 5-6 % despite a reduction in the amount of available oil reserves in the east. Tourism projects and light industry (including a factory to assemble cars) were catapulting the country out of the Third World. Education, medical advances and enhanced rights for women were hallmarks of Dr. Assad's administration. " http://syrianperspective.blogspot.de/2013/03/thir…
3) In both countries popular peaceful movement was hijacked by a handful of radical, fanatical extremists who imposed their will on the majority by the reign of unspeakable terror
4) the radical elements were controlled, financed and equipped with weapons and other devices by foreign agents of big international interests with centers in London, New York, Frankfurt.
It's 1917 redux, NOTHING'S CHANGES, THE SAME GROUPS try to impose an alien, incompatible, inhumane system on a different country to further their big interest.
You MUST read "Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution" and "Confessions of an Monopolist"”
That was planned long time ago. The methodology of war against Syria is based on 2010 Unconventional Warfare (UW) Manual of the US Military’s Special Forces (TC 18-01).
"The intent of U.S. [Unconventional Warfare] UW efforts is to exploit a hostile power’s political, military, economic, and psychological vulnerabilities by developing and sustaining resistance forces to accomplish U.S. strategic objectives…For the foreseeable future, U.S. forces will predominantly engage in irregular warfare (IW) operations."
"In Syria, the UW task would have been a mix of the two. Because of the domestic popularity and strength of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad revealed here in a 2006 Wikileaks Cable, UW activities would necessarily need to start with some subversion of the population before graduating to a Libyan-style scenario."
"The Syrian demographic landscape is reflected in the UW manual: “In almost every scenario, resistance movements face a population with an active minority supporting the government and an equally small militant faction supporting the resistance movement. For the resistance to succeed, it must convince the uncommitted middle population…to accept it as a legitimate entity. A passive population is sometimes all a well-supported insurgency needs to seize political power.”" http://english.al-akhbar.com/blogs/sandbox/going-…
