The Obama Administration is always quick to issue a condemnation of Iran after any new IAEA report is made public. Today they broke a record, however, by issuing that condemnation before the report has even been released.
The reaction comments are seen as an attempt to preempt Israeli attempts to spin the upcoming report as an excuse for war, because while they include the usual condemnations they also insist there is “time and space” for diplomacy to continue.
Anonymous administration officials even took a page out of war opponents’ books, noting that Iran’s production of 20 percent uranium, far below weapons-grade, could not be changed to weapons-grade up without the IAEA’s notice since they continue to be a presence at the facility.
Iran has been producing the 20 percent uranium in an attempt to produce their own fuel rods for the US-built Tehran Research Reactor (TRR), which produces medical isotopes. It isn’t clear how successful they’ve been in that conversion to rods, but there has been talk of-and-on of trading the uranium outright for rods made elsewhere.
The bulk of Iran’s production, however, remains 6% enriched uranium, which is the level needed to power the Bushehr nuclear reactor, an electricity generating reactor built by Russia.

Interesting discovery that diplomacy should still be a "viable" option with Iran. I guess what remains unstated is that diplomacy has never been a viable option with the zionists! If peace is ever to have a chance in the region, this charade must stop – and Israel must be subject the same norms, standards and responsibilities as any state – subject to the same IAEA inspections as Iran, adherence to the same international scrutiny and sanctions for violations. That might see this zionist settlement return to the 1948 borders it was awarded by the UN in 1948 and live in peace with countries in the region. Pipe dream? Perhaps, but only as long as AIPAC dictates US policies and Congressmen continue to prostitute American interests at the altar in Tel Aviv.
I would like to know why english speaking countries always want to go around telling others how to live. But mostly if they have oil like iran.
