Though Israel’s traditional rhetoric suggests any Arab nation is automatically at odds with their position, media reports tonight are marveling at the growing unity between Israel and the Saudi leader GCC nations in their desires to see Iran attacked.
Both Israel and the Saudis are long time enemies of the Iranian government, and even if they both came by this in very different ways it should come as no surprise that the Sunni-dominated regimes of the Gulf nations are fine with Israel attacking a major Shi’ite nation.
Of course the Israeli preference remains seeing the US starting the war, but increasingly Israel’s current far-right government is mulling attacking unilaterally. Either way, Gulf officials seem to hope starting a war with Iran will quiet their respective Shi’ite populaces, which they are convinced are being roused to protest primarily by Iran.
Which seems unlikely. If anything an unprovoked attack on Iran seems liable to rile up the Shi’ites in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, et al. all the more. It also is likely to bring neighboring Iraq’s current Shi’ite-dominated government more squarely in the camp of the Iranian government, as such an attack is likely to rouse considerable anger after the 2003 US invasion of Iraq led to nearly a decade of occupation.
Saudi arabia and their wahabi cult religion (which is not islam) is the biggest threat to the world aside from israel.
We should be partnering with Iran against them, not the other way around
I have a hard time believing the Saudi's would like to see an attack on Iran. Not because they're decent folk, but because with their own 'extremist'' elements in Saudi Arabia, I would have thought the last thing they need is for it to back Israel against an Islamic nation.
But then, with oil potentially bouncing up to $400/per barrel, maybe they can see a rather large silver lining to this story….
You have to laugh at the Israelis for thinking that threatening Iran is going to elicit the response they want. Iran has already stated most publically that they know Israel or the U.S will NOT attack their nuclear facilities – they know that the costs are too high for the real axis of evil. In some ways I hope they try – it would certainly put to bed any thoughts that these two are anything but a malignant threat to the existance of our species. It would leave them pariah states, imo…

I hope you are right, after all they have been dividing the arab world for a very long time, hopefully the people know what is going on.and force change to save themselves and he region from the WMD that is being dropped all around them.
An attack on Iran will open the gates of hell for the Sunnis Muslims, the Western World and most assuredly, the Bank of International Settlements – the central bank of the world's central banks.

i dont think the iranians would attack the sunnis, they have much respect unlike the saudi and isrl, i think radicals from other countries would attack them, because they are paid for by our tax dollars to do it. but the fact is all minorities have a good life in Iran just ask the real jews who live there, the largest amount of jews in any arab or muslim nation lives in Iran, and they are protected from radicals that the zionists pay to scare them out. the problem is our armies, they are the ones who need to say enough we will not kill anymore innocent nations. if we cannot stop the armies then i hope everyone of them comes back in a black bag. they need to realize that their lives are no better than the ones they took. and the ones they take are not the real problem its those business opportunities who get away without shedding any blood or having their blood shed for the riches they are going to make.
One must hope that Iran is the red-line in the sand for Russia, and China, which many believe is to be the case. Russia just anounced that Iran is getting the 300 missle defense system, which means that they already have it. It is sad, but if push comes to shove, let's hope that Israel, and the US get a very brutal and well deserved beat down for their insipid war mongering.

I hope Saudi Arabia and Israel attack Iran. It will result in the end of the Saudi regime. When Iran starts arming opposition groups and those oppressed by the Saudis, we can begin wiping the Middle East clean of Saudi influence and expose the rulers for the Israeli stooges they are. Almost every hijacker came from Saudi Arabia. Wahhabism needs to be stomped, pissed on and then have its oil taken from it. Why should we care any more about Saudi Arabia than we do about Iraq? It was Saudi Arabia that did 9/11 and we should make them pay. That the Saudis were friends with Dubya and bought his shares of the failed Harkin oil should mean nothing.

The Israelis and the Saudis are really just puppets of the US government. They may foolishly think otherwise, but some day they will find out that in reality they were both being use by the US for its plan to rule the world. When the US no longer has any use for its fort in the Middle East, Israel, or for the willingness of the Saudi family to give two thirds of its wealth to the USA, then these two countries will be thrown on the dung heap.
