Adding to a series of warnings from other top Pakistani officials, Pakistani intelligence chief Gen. Shuja Pasha today warned that an “American attack on Pakistan” was “unacceptable” and that Pakistan’s military would not allow it.
The comments come admit growing concern that the US is planning to invade Pakistan’s tribal areas, which has been warned several times against such a move. Sen. Lindsay Graham (R – SC) has claimed “broad bipartisan support” for the attack.
Tensions have been on the rise for months, but have come to a head amid claims from Admiral Michael Mullen that the Haqqani Network is a wing of the Pakistani military. Though officials concede Mullen’s claim is likely “exaggerated,” the admiral insisted today he “stands by” his comments.
The claims about the Haqqanis come hot on the heals of Obama Administration claims that they were secretly behind the attack on the US Embassy in Kabul. This is in spite of the Afghan Taliban claiming credit for the attack themselves.
Send Lindsay Graham to the Pakistan border – that will scare the Pakistani's to hell – it will also make Graham wet his pants.

Give me a break! An invasion of Pakistan by US troops would be unacceptable. What a dumb statement. The current violation of the sovereignty of Pakistan by military techies in some underground bunker in Colorado who fly in the uninvited drones for lethal purpose is a gross violation of international law. Where is international justice? If Lindsey Graham wants to make war with Pakistan at least have the balls to go to Congress and obtain a declaration of war. The US Empire is mighty but has lost its principles when it comes to international law and justifce. They have been lured down the Israeli path, who think that they can snub their nose at world opinion anytime, even in international waters, and kill anyone who they deem bad or against their current policies. The world has gone backwards over the past twenty years because of rouge states like the US and Israel.
Good. Pakistan isn't Afghanistan or Iraq. It has nuclear weapons. The Pakistanis, or someone better make it clear that the US/neocon campaign to bring chaos to the world has got to stop at some point. A shame that no one in the West is putting an end to this series of disasters.
