The head of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said Tuesday that the US, the UK, and Ukraine could have been involved in the terrorist attack on a concert hall outside of Moscow that killed 139 people.
FSB chief Aleksandr Bortnikov told reporters that Russia was trying to identify everyone who was involved in the massacre and was asked if the US, Britain, and Ukraine were involved.
“We think that this is so. In any case, we are now talking about the information that we have. This is general information, but they [investigators] also have concrete results,” Bortnikov replied, according to RT.
The ISIS affiliate based in Afghanistan, known as Islamic State – Khorasan Province, or ISIS-K, has taken credit for the attack, a claim backed by the US. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that “radical Islamists” carried out the attack but suggested Ukraine could have been involved.
Putin also questioned the US assertion that ISIS-K was responsible. “We are seeing that the US, through various channels, is trying to convince its satellites and other countries of the world that, according to their intelligence, there is allegedly no Kyiv trace in the Moscow terror attack — that the bloody terrorist act was committed by followers of Islam, members of the Islamic State group,” he said. “Those who support the Kyiv regime don’t want to be accomplices in terror and sponsors of terrorism, but many questions remain.”
If Russia believes that Ukraine or any NATO country was in some way responsible for the Moscow terrorist attack, it could lead to a major escalation of the war in Ukraine. The Russian military has already escalated its missile strikes across Ukraine in response to the Ukrainian attacks inside Russia.
According to TASS, Bortnikov noted that Ukraine had been increasing its attacks on Russian territory and said US and British intelligence were involved in the operations. “There have been drone strikes, strikes by uncrewed boats at sea, and incursions by groups of saboteurs and terrorist organizations into our territory,” he said.
In recent weeks, Ukraine has launched heavy drone and artillery attacks on Russian territory. The Russian Volunteer Corps, a neo-Nazi militia made up of Russian volunteers that have US armored vehicles, launched ground incursions into Russian border regions from Ukraine.
I was looking for a more updated definition of hateful terrorism combined with racism. Here is my suggestion: “There should be no Russian who goes to sleep without wondering if they’re going to get their throat slit in the middle of the night,” Milley said, according to an official with knowledge of the event. “You gotta get back there, and create a campaign behind the lines.”
Gen. Mark A. Milley, then chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff

I’m bad in math, but sounds like, No Russian = Every Russian.
They looked like hired mercenaries, wouldn’t be a bit surprised if they were on NATO’s payroll.

Breaking News:
Russia blames the terrorist attack on the bridge in Baltimore on Ukraine. The ship operator was a member of Ukraine controlled ISIS.
Lol
🤣
Most Russians aren’t Putin Lovers. They are just afraid to speak out in fear of retaliation.
This guy tells it how it is. I’d wish they had blurred his face so he doesn’t accidentally fall out of a window

The real concern is what Russia does if it finds that either the CIA or Mi6 – both are likely – are involved. Legally speaking, this would be an act of war and Russia will retaliate in some manner, possibly involving missile strikes on the perpetrators. Scott Ritter points out that the Russians have already said they will go after ANYONE who was involved in the operation and the Russians don’t bluff.
Good comment but keep in mind that Moscow already has found out all the details. Guys don’t Bortnikov don’t speculate. This is a signal to the West – ‘we know everything. Make a sacrifice or we go to the next stage.’
The Russians are absolutely superb at this. Retaliation can come in many forms, not just lethal killing.
Of course all those in Ukraine who are involved will be killed. However, before killing any western officials involved, Moscow will likely squeeze London and DC hard, in a long process (which Bortnikov has essentially started) aimed at obtaining ‘sacrifices’ (eg UK/US gives up those involved or gets rid of them, eg US/UK hand over imprisoned Russian agents / human assets).
The Crocus atrocity has been an absolute disaster for Kiev, London and DC. They never thought that the perps would be caught alive. As per usual they misjudged Russian expertise and capabilities. As per usual they overestimated their own capabilities. They’re a trainwreck, and they’re destroying the West.
… And who transported ISIS members to Afghanistan from Iraq and Syria so they could make their way to Tajikistan, get their passports there and eventually stepped into Russia…? You guessed right…Uncle Sam…!
Don’t tell the American people, but ISIS/ISIS-K is our friend.
That’s the gist of it. Just like Al Qaida (via Al Nusra) was virtually rehabilitated in the last few years. Hey, if ISIS-(pick your own letter or acronym) is anti Russia, maybe those innocent-people-head-chopper-offers aren’t so bad after all? (sarcasm alert).
Yes, Netman. .
Tell it how it is and Show us the evidence while at it.
Forget the source, that’s not important. Just make the linkage.
Use the six degrees of Kevin Bacon, it’ll be easier.

Keep trying. No one except you tankies — in your information bubble — are buying the bulls**t you and Putin are selling.

Unlike the idiots leading the West, senior Russian officials aren’t verbose blowhards. They don’t grandstand.
Let’s get one thing out of the way. Anyone in Ukraine involved in the atrocity will be killed. They’re all dead men and women walking.
This is all about what happens to those involved from the UK and US. If they’re involved (they are) both nations are essentially engaged in state-sponsored terrorism, against a nuclear armed superpower. They’re insane.
Anyway, this wasn’t just a speculative comment by Bortnikov. Senior Kremlin officials like him don’t do ‘speculation’. It was in fact a very deliberate statement by Bortnikov. He is signalling that the Kremlin already knows that the US & UK is involved. That means that they almost certainly know all the details, including the names.
No one should be surprised by this. Russian interrogation of the losers who carried out the massacre will reveal some intel. However it’s going to be Russian HUMINT and electronic surveillance – they are the best in the world at this – that will have filled in all the gaps.
I’m assuming that Bortnikov is opening a door for the morons in London and DC to offer up a sacrifice, in exchange for Moscow keeping what they know under wraps. That’s the typical first step Moscow takes in these situations.
Unfortunately Moscow is dealing with utter cretins. Nonentity Sunak and illegitimate Joe probably can’t even see the signal. They’ll double down if anything.
Of course, the Russians will be prepared for this. The next stage will likely be exposure of the UK and US role, in the ‘leak’ of damning intercepts. Then, I expect Moscow will try to cut another deal.
Let’s assume that London and DC still refuse to parlay. Moscow will already have a plan in place for this, too. Who knows what it is but it will dial up the pain on all those involved.
You see the MO. Russia increases the pressure very patiently, controlling the process, exacting more and more pain on its adversaries, until they give up and cut a deal favourable to Moscow.
