Less than two weeks ago Americans were glued to their TVs for footage of the “last brigade” of US soldiers withdrawing from Iraq. With embedded MSNBC journalists and in-studio officials trumpeting a military victory, an America exultant in having finally “won” the war, it was extremely successful, and that 50,000 US troops are still there and hundreds of Iraqis have died since the announcement was really only a minor hiccup.
It was so successful, in fact, that the Obama Administration has decided to do it again, which is one of the advantages fake endings of wars have over actual endings. Tuesday, when the President addresses the nation, he will again be trumpeting this victory, and with much fanfare.
There are even rumors that former President George W. Bush will take part in the festivities, as something of a founder-of-the-feast, having made all the fake ends to the war possible with his decision to launch the ill conceived conflict in 2003. The White House has so far been mum on whether or not Bush will have any particular role, but has assured that Obama will not say “Mission Accomplished” during his address.
President Obama is said to be planning to focus his speech on claiming credit for the illusory victory, while lauding the other ongoing war in Afghanistan. Vice President Joe Biden is in Baghdad for the commemoration there, as are 50,000 US troops that officials are desperately trying to label something other than “combat” troops.
It ain't over without a ticker tape parade.
What a joke. It's the end of the war – except for tens of thousands of troops and even more mercenaries, er, "contractors" left behind. Will the Iraqis that get mowed down be happy to know that they got shot by "advisors"? Unlikely.
As for Obama, if he can claim credit for an illusory economic recovery, why not take credit for a sham victory in Iraq? Par for the course. Will the American sheeple buy it? You bet.
Obama could call the 50,000 'Non-combatant Worriers'.
I'm sure most of them are worried whether or not they'll make it back to America in one piece!
Wars far away decided by the Israeli lobby and run by Zionist media bosses, with presidents and their advisors, many of which are Jewish, serving as actors before the cameras. Say that an occupation is over and it is over. Don't report the deaths and people won't believe there are any – or if they hear of them, they will know they are not supposed to worry, since the MSM didn't report them. A fake reality. All made possible by the public's laziness and slavish loyalty to the media. Look things up for yourself on the internet? Never! Only kooks do that.
People, most…not all, are rather ignorant of whats going on but that by and large is a product of mainstream media propaganda and misinformation. You can't keep blaming the sheep for something they know not of and are conditioned not to even look elsewhere. That's like shouting at the TV and telling that stupid teen in the horror flick to just DONT open that door!
Iraq, the war that just keeps failing.
Look, there is overwhelming evidence that the government we serve knew about 9/11 before it occured, if not participated in it. Bush wanted the Iraq war and did everything he could to get it. Lies, liea, lies. He conspired with Ahmed Chalabi, a man dodging a 22 year prison sentence in Jordan, to get the "evidence" he and his mistress needed to incite the American to be willing to participate in it. "Mushroom clouds in the sky"? BS.
Bush had the Republicans and Christians by the nose. Talk about sheeple. Now Bush laid out the red carpet for Obama. Was Bush Obama's mentor? War over? What's the Military Indusrial Complex going to do with all the tax dollars they get? Wars can't be over. That government can't afford it. DC? It's made up of ruthless amoral liars. Thank God we've got Anti War and a few other news sources that have the courage enough to keep the Amaerican people informed. Ghosts from Nazi Germany and Communist USSR are crying out to us. Are we listening?
Will they really do it again?

Second WW also was announced to be done with 60 years ago.., but the US still has around 150.000 uniformed solders occupying countries from Japan to Europe.., not counting the civilian mercenaries and etc.. I always been wondering if WWII ever been finished or for that matter the first WW which the second WW was the continuation of the first.
while there are us troops in japan as well as many european countries, they are not occupying these countries. now iraq and afghanistan are another story.
1- If they are not occupying these countries.. why they are there to start with.. why don’t they leave and save some money for the American taxpayers…, and above all they been there since WWII so in reality it means that they never left and that US is still at stat or war with whatever that might be… yet Fascism has been defeated so there is no communism to attack US nor Europe.., in the other hand the Japans empire who attacked US also been defeated.. So if the war is over and all the enemies are defeated so why they are there…??????
2- Iraq occupation is the same story.. The US combat in Iraq is over.., which means that the declared war by the Bush regime is over yet almost 60.000 US uniformed solders are going to remain in Iraq.., not counting the privet mercenaries’ and etc…, now question is…, when a combat is over…, that means that the war is over…, that is to say if the president or the politicians are truth full about their wording.., so when a war is over then solders are coming home.., yet over 150.000 US solders are all over the world and occupying countries from Japan to Europe.
americans "glued to their TVs? you must mean watching "dancing with the stars" most americans want to forget our mess in messopatania because it is an embarressing failure
'
Mission accomplised: Bush and Obama together at last. 2 great liars celebrating another pile of lies.
what else would one expect from a fake govt and fake president.
Hope and Change…Hope and Change…yada…yada…yada
ATTENTION PEOPLES!!! YOUR REGULARY SCHEDULED HOPE AND CHANGE PROPAGANDA HAS BEEN UPDATED TO BRING YOU THE TRUTH…
Amerika has huge, PERMANENT BASES in Iwreck for a reason…and it ain't because the troops are leaving!
There will be atleast 50,000 American troops there plus double the number of mercenaries FOREVER (or until the Empire goes bankrupt).
So you'd better get used to your grand kids and their grand kids paying higher taxes to support the Iwreck Quagmire. And Amerocons and especially Iraqis will be dying there for decades.
NOW BACK TO YOUR REGULARY SCHEDULED HOPE AND CHANGE BULL SH*T…
Hope and change, hope and change, hope and change….repeat it three time for our Lord and Savior Borat Obammie….
This is another confirmation of why private defense agencies, not government, should provide security: “private defense agencies are not likely to start shooting at each other because wars are expensive. Politicians do not have to pay for wars. They borrow, tax, or print money. Private defense agencies do not have those options.” – Viception (http://viception.wordpress.com)
1-When a words such as "End of combat" used by an government at war, it should mean that the war is over and its won and the enemy is defeated and solders therefore needs to come home and thereafter the tax payers not be burdened by the war tax.., which in reality would help the US economy..?? that is if there is jobs for solders when they come home… Having said that…, the US army or for that matter any army is a instrument and a institution in employing people as solders and etc. the manufacturers of war machinery are also employer yet they are after profits so as longs they have a war is good for them, they don’t care who get killed or how many people are slaughtered by their bombs and etc. they always argue that they provide jobs.
3- How many wars US has been involved after WWII and how many country US has bombed just for the sake of bombing it for last 60 years…? If you think that WWII is finished…, think again… if you think that US militarism regime is in Japan for the sake of Japanese health care system.., or in Iraq and Kuwait and Afghanistan.., think again.., Last thing.. What would you think would happen if US government brought back all its solders from all over the world home.., would the war manufacturers be able to provide jobs for them you think…?
Honestly, the surge was a battle for improving a War, not winning it. Thank God we are getting out, what a waste of our Youth and Treasury set on a bed of lies.
It makes me think of a picture taken 7 May 1945 in Germany of American soldiers sitting before a wall which displays the following slogan:
“Wir siegen, weil wir an Adolf Hitler und unser Grossdeutchen Reich glauben” Translated:
We are victorious when we believe in Adolf Hitler and our Great German Nation”.
No nation ever admits defeat, even when they are beaten. That goes for Iraq and for Afghanistan as well.
