One day after Israeli attacks killed 14 in Lebanon, the narrative of the ceasefire being “intact” seems less and less credible, with reports of continued escalation against southern Lebanon, and new rounds of Israeli strikes reported in the Bekaa Valley to the east.
Strikes were reported against the towns of Kfara and Qleia in southern Lebanon, with one civilian reported killed so far in the attacks and multiple others wounded. Locals reported the continued destruction of residential areas across the Israeli-occupied south.
Bekaa Valley hadn’t seen an Israeli strike in nearly three weeks, but the town of Nabichit, a popular target for the IDF in the past, reportedly came under fire in what the IDF said was an attack on “Hezbollah infrastructure.”

The IDF further claimed its troops had taken over and destroyed “Hezbollah headquarters” in Bint Jbeil, a village in the south that the two sides had fought over weeks prior. Though destruction is ongoing in that village, as with everywhere else in southern Lebanon, it’s not clear if Hezbollah lost a site of any strategic import.
Since the ceasefire began, the UNIFIL peacekeepers have recorded 299 distinct incidents of Israeli fire against Lebanon originating from south of the Blue Line border. This was separate from the ongoing fighting between Israeli troops inside Lebanon and Hezbollah forces.
Hezbollah, for its part, reported that they had targeted Israeli troops in the area around the coastal Lebanese town of Naqoura. This reportedly involved launching drones against “gatherings” of Israeli forces in the area, and claimed “confirmed hits.” Israel insisted there were no casualties.
Hezbollah also reported targeting an Israeli military bulldozer in the Bint Jbeil area, also claiming a direct hit there. There has been no reporting on what damage, if any, was inflicted on the bulldozer, one of many that’s in Lebanon actively leveling the “buffer zone” south of the Yellow Line.
