Israeli Strike Hits Vehicle in Central Gaza, Killing Three, Including Two Civil Defense Workers

At least 792 Palestinians have been killed by the IDF in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed, according to Gaza's Health Ministry

An Israeli strike in Gaza on Thursday hit a vehicle in the central part of the Strip, killing at least three Palestinians, as the IDF continues its constant violations of the US-backed ceasefire deal.

According to the Quds News Network, two of the Palestinians were part of Gaza’s Civil Defense, the enclave’s agency that’s responsible for emergency work and rescue operations. Photos from a funeral in Deir el-Balah show an orange vest worn by Palestinian Civil Defense workers on one of the bodies of the deceased.

The Quds News Network also reported that the five people, including three children, who were killed the night before by an Israeli airstrike outside of a mosque in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, had been identified as Abdullah al-Abed, 9, Salah al-Abed, 12, Mohammed Balousha, 14, Alaa Balousha, 46, and Anas Abu Foul, 19. Palestinians held a funeral for them at the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City on Thursday.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update, which it releases about midday Gaza time, that Israeli forces killed at least six Palestinians and wounded 18 over the previous 24-hour period. “A number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the ministry said.

The ministry said that since the signing of the so-called ceasefire deal in early October, the IDF has killed 792 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 2,235, more than 3,000 Palestinian casualties.

Amid the constant Israeli attacks, which have escalated this month, there’s no sign of progress in the President Trump-backed Gaza plan as the US and Israel continue to demand Hamas’s disarmament while Hamas insists the issue cannot be discussed until the first phase of the ceasefire is actually implemented.
