Gaza’s Health Ministry said Monday that Israeli attacks killed 57 Palestinians and wounded 153 more over the previous 24-hour period as US-backed Israeli strikes continue to pound the Strip.
The Health Ministry said that the bodies of 14 Palestinians killed in previous Israeli attacks were also recovered from the rubble. The ministry’s numbers account for dead and wounded Palestinians brought to hospitals and morgues.
“There are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the streets, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.

Israeli attacks on Monday included heavy strikes on Jabalia, northern Gaza. According to Al Jazeera, 18 Palestinians were killed in two separate attacks on homes in the city. Ten members of the same family were killed in one strike, and eight members of another family were killed in the other.
Al Jazeera also reported that an attack on Gaza City killed nine Palestinians, including four children. In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, an Israeli strike on a house killed at least eight people.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said that since Israel resumed its genocidal war on March 18, which it did with full US support, it has recorded the deaths of 2,222 Palestinians and 5,751 injuries.
Since October 7, 2023, the ministry’s death toll has reached 52,314, and the number of wounded has climbed to 117,792, figures that don’t account for thousands missing and presumed dead under the rubble or indirect deaths caused by the Israeli siege.
Since March 2, Israel has imposed a total blockade on Gaza, blocking humanitarian aid and all other goods from entering. UN agencies have run out of food supplies in Gaza as health officials are warning that children are starving. The US has backed Israel’s collective punishment of the civilian population of Gaza, a clear war crime under international law.
