President Trump on Sunday said that he was still deciding how to move forward on the Iran war and whether or not to blow up the “entire nation,” as the Iranian military is warning that it has information that the US will resume attacks on the Islamic Republic.
Fox News reporter Trey Yingst said that he spoke with Trump on Sunday morning and that the president told him he is in a “deciding mode” and that “very big things are going to be happening in the not-so-distant future.”
Trump told Yingst that the current choices on the table include “wiping Iran out, letting them rot economically, or making a deal,” though Iran has made clear it’s not backing down on its core conditions for a deal. “My question is if and when I blow the entire nation up. They better behave,” the US president said.
Also on Sunday, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said that based on information it has received, the US “has once again decided, with the green light of some regional countries, at a joint meeting in one of the European countries, to resume actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
The Iranian command said that if the US “commits any mistake” against Iran, “all its bases and interests in the region, without any limitation or consideration, will be targeted by sustained, effective and painful attacks” and added a warning to regional countries hosting US bases.
US embassies in the region put out alerts over the weekend warning US citizens against traveling in the region, something that’s happened previously before US escalations against Iran, though they are also related to the escalations in Yemen and Ansar Allah’s attacks on Saudi Arabia.
There have been signs that the US may escalate against Ansar Allah, also known as the Houthis, though Trump told Yingst that the US “is in constant communication with the Houthis and that they have agreed not to fight the United States,” suggesting the ceasefire between the US and Ansar Allah reached in May 2025 remains in effect.
