Saudi Airstrike Hits North Yemen Civilian Home, 11 Casualties Reported

Yemenis condemn airstrike as a war crime

Senior Yemeni officials are complaining of Saudi war crimes once again, as early Monday the Saudis carried out on airstrike on a civilian home in Hajjah, in Yemen’s north.

The house belonged to civilian Ahmed Mohammad Tamri. At least one woman was killed in the attack, and 10 others wounded, all members of the same family. Most of the injured were children.

Mohammed al-Houthi said the continued Saudi targeting of civilians is “a war crime and deliberate terrorism.” The Saudis have not talked about why they attacked this particular home.

Nor are they likely to. Throughout the Yemen War, the Saudis have killed thousands of civilians in air strikes, and only occasionally offer any commentary, beyond expressions of anger over public criticism.
