Even though the Geneva talks with Russia ended with at least some hope, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg offered an extremely negative assessment, saying that NATO’s member states are fully prepared for a “new armed conflict in Europe.”
The war would be built around Ukraine, with Stoltenberg presenting NATO as “credible and strong” in deterring Russia from acting in Ukraine, and presenting this huge war, effectively World War 3, if Russia “chooses confrontation.”
Stoltenberg went on to say that the NATO alliance is united on this issue, and ready to provide military support to Ukraine “to uphold the right for self-defense.”
There is hope that the Geneva talks will lead to something. There is clearly room for negotiations, though hindered by both sides being very stubborn about not wanting to give in on any important issues.
I just read an article by Scott Ritter stating that the US and Nato have no idea what they are in for if they go to war. One of the first things that will happen is that the first thing Russia will do is turn off the natural gas to Europe and see how long it takes them to catch on. Europeans live a comfortable life and all politicians will be in very deep trouble. Something I remember about Scott is that his name came up in a conversation with Sy Hersh and he said “you have no idea how smart he is”.
Stoltenberg is a joke, as Andrei Martyanov has said repeatedly. He’s a banker with zero knowledge of the military balance between NATO and Russia. Plus he’s on his way out anyway. He’s obviously too stupid to remember that every war game done in the last ten years has shown Russia winning against NATO.
Also I might add that it’s not a case of “both sides being stubborn.” Russia can’t afford to compromise on these issues, and the US is not capable of comprehending that, leading them to make serious miscalculations about the degree of Russian seriousness.
Without the American interference the EU Elite would soon come to a agreement with Russia , but being the vassals they are things will only get worse.

Clearly, nobody is taking the situation seriously, and Stotleberg is clearly volunteering Europe for war. Did anyone ask citizens if the war is what they want for themselves and their children? How abou a cost- benefit ratio?
It is so comforting to know that we have leaders that think sbout us, First, they do not seem to have a foggiest about stopping an elidemic, than they think a nice little war is what the doctor ordered.

It is indeed a stupid article, symptomatic of the cognitive dissonance infecting the western leaders. These are not requests…they are demands for Russian security from an encroaching NATO. NATO will retreat from Russia’s borders either voluntarily or be thrown out. It is NATO’s choice.

Yeh it looks like it is building into a Cuba moment , russia has had enough of the US / EU. they said Russia will attack Ukraine this Year , Russia could go now their military trains in the coldest conditions on planet earth their equipment is built to with stand almost anything , like the AK47 the best assult rifle ever , in Vietnam Marines would take the Aks from dead Vietnames because they where more reliable than the US rifles , watched a US gun show they tested a AK47 buried it in soft mud drove over it with a jeep pulled it out of the mud and emptied the clip into a target .

More to the point, are Europeans prepared to go to war to save a racist US imposed putsch-Nazi-junta in Kiev and perhaps even join their annual Nazi parades? Of course not not. Who in their right mind would do that?
And the failed Norwegian politician turned Nato kriegsfuherer have obviously no idea what war is and what a war against Russia would look like. Even knowing their own war game estimates that NATO wouldn’t survive more than a couple of days. That’s obviously very optimistic, we’re talking about no more than 24 hours here.
Stoltenberg is symbolic of Europe’s complete loss of confidence and delusional ideas of military grandeur. Russia see Stoltenberg as the puppet he is and pays little attention to his rants. Russia has however, made common cause with Victoria Nuland in the EU’s ability to act……F**k the EU. Russia talks only with US decision makers..no matter how incompetent they may be.
Stultifyingberg is going for the title of the worst “chief of NATO”, and that is rather a difficult task. What on earth is he trying to do? why is the failed state of Ukraine being given this importance when the only way to solve its dilemma is still ignored by Kiev after 7 years?
“Security” for all countries according to NATO does not include designated enemy Russia.
Russia was going to join NATO guess who vetoed it ?. it would have rendered NATO obsolete.
In all reality these leaders are reading their countries entirely wrong, I doubt a single nation in nato will even be able to control the outbreak of riots n protest. What planet are they living on?

Trump preferred an alliance with Russia, but was prevented to do so by the MIC and congressional/media complex. Trump should have acted like a leader form the get go and ignored these simps…we would be better off today in America and so would the world had he acted like a sensible president vis a vis Russia.

You’re right. Trump had the power to do much more to fulfill campaign promises, even though he was fighting off both parties. He backed out of leaving Syria after declaring the troops be brought home, yet the MIC ignored him. He should have made an example of this treasonous act immediately, but he unfortunately folded.
I am actually very disturbed that such things are even being said aloud. The way that NATO is speaking, both in tenor and tone, is rather matter-of-factly, as if “when” war happens, not “if”… World War III is not a casual affair, it’s incredibly serious. I think NATO could use some valium, a lot of it…

Putin has never been hyperbolic, so, when he tells people to go to hell during press conference and tells his military we have no where to retreat ( our back is against the wall) u have to be afraid.
This might end up with something mild like csto being offered to Cuba and the likes, s400 to Iran and deployment of fast strike options where it would make us afraid or it might mean be something really bad, like a war with nato.
The false flag will be the doing of the US , it will give them the excuse to allow Ukraine into NATO and the setting up of forward US bases on Russia borders with missiles pointing at Moscow , the original plan was to take over the Naval base in Crimea but Putin saw it comming and beat them to it , Ukraine is in NATO all but for the paper work , there are thousands of US / british special forces , and billions of UDS in arms ect . think Vietnam this was the play book used there.
