Israel Hits Southern Damascus in Latest Syria Attack

Attack caused damage, no casualties

An overnight Israeli strike hit southern Damascus against Wednesday, the second such strike this week. The attack targeted a military base where Iranian Revolutionary Guards are known to be present.

Israel is keen to attack Iran on any pretext, and Syria is no obstacle for that. This latest attack caused no casualties, however, according to officials, and only did some material damages to the base at Jabal Mane Heights.

Iran threatened retaliation over the first strike, and has not commented on the new strike, though they are clear on not wanting to start any war with US involvement until President Trump leaves office.

Israel, as usual, is refusing to comment at all on their attack, saying they don’t respond to media reports of what they bomb. This is why they almost never report attacks directly, leaving everything somewhat nebulous.
