The Trump Administration pushes for a ceasefire in Yemen are being willfully ignored by the Saudis, who have no only considered their war, but have escalated hostilities dramatically in the past several days.
Fighting has raged across Yemen, as Saudi airstrikes and naval artillery pick up the pace, and heavy battles are reported in several places. At least 150 fighters were reported killed on both sides, though each side is claiming the win, and to have inflicted more damage on the other.
Either way, the demand for an immediate ceasefire, and a full end to Saudi airstrikes against populated areas never happened. Saudi forces were building up around Hodeidah before the demand, and continued with no reaction.
Indeed, the Saudis never even publicly acknowledged that the US called for a ceasefire. Saudi-backed Yemenis praised the call for peace, though they similarly showed no sign of stopping their fighting.
As shown in this article, the United States is supporting both sides in the Saudi-led war in Yemen:

Washington has proven itself to be completely unable to understand the repercussions of its global agenda.
We seembto have a propensity to rattle iff latest news jn a latest context, regardless of the fact that the realuty is not prone to comply to Facebook style fragmentation of events with instant OMGs. And sfter all this time, some facts should be known. The Yemen government in exile for example. Whise irders does it take? Which territory dies it hold? Why is this government at odds with their presumably Saudi masters? And why is Hadi — The president — in Saudi Arabia (some say under house arrest, but take it with large punch of salt. And where is hus government? Now after UAE backed by US mercenaries captured the terrirory this “government” presunably controls. And — what a coincidence— this government us ready to talk, while Oresident is not?
If we are nit driven by reality Tv nentality, we would ask questions. First, whise war us this anyway? If this us Saudi war, why us US navy enforcing blickade of Hideidah? We could have all along allowed any country to ship in food and medicine. Why we did niit? Saudis have not forced us into it.
So, if Saudis strike a deal with Houthus in their own — woukd US ibject demanding a piece of action? Will US end blockade? Will
Yemeni government in exile in Aden become UAE/ US proxie, against what their oresident, the Southerner may say? Would it nit soark a war between allies, Saudis and UAE? Everyone who belueves in britherhid if teo princes is not folliwing real news. UAE did many things to stab Saudis in the back and benefit thenselves. So, where in all if this us indignation and US order for children to stop it. This inly shows lack of control over Saudis. At this point they no linger want to be a front to war US started by impising a president in Sana’a. Being blamed fot starting famine and dusease single handedly — they may want to actually own the war, to dispose with it as they see it. And at this point, they list Siuth, to be licking horns with Niorth. They need a face saving end, not in humiliating US terms. They can — from tge positiin of “strength” come to terms with Houthis Nirth. And if not alliwed to do it unilaterally — they will govfir Pakistani mediation with Iran, trashing Iran agenda. If we dver see Saudus coming in at the oeace table commandeered by US — that would signify Saudi weakness. But the resl question us —,why us US continuing blickade, the single reason for starvation and disease. Binbs, accurate or otherwise, are nit the cause of starvatiin. Neither us the kack if countries that woukd gave come up with supplies if food and medicine — if asked and allowed. The latest noise on cease fire is just noise. Until something more substantial hapoens. And what the starved people thought of the peace offer?
The ceasefire is a joke. MBS owns Trump.
