Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz, a member of the nation’s security cabinet, warned Israel would “topple” Syrian President Bashar Assad if Iran strikes Israeli territory. He said any Iran action would mean Assad’s “end and the end of his regime.”
There has been a flurry of speculation in the Israeli press that Iran would soon retaliate against Israeli territory. Israel has repeatedly attacked Syria in recent months, and has said those strikes are targeting Iranian military facilities. The Israeli assumption is that after so many attacks Iran is bound to try to do something about it.
So now Steinitz has decided he needs to threaten Syria over what Israel thinks Iran might do, based on what Israel has done against Iran inside Syria. Steinitz also claimed that Israel has “not intervened” in the Syrian War at all, despite dozens of Israeli airstrikes against Syrian military targets, and Israeli officials openly saying they prefer ISIS winning the war to Assad surviving.
Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have been advocating war with Iran for decades, and picking up such calls in recent weeks. The notion that Iran is going to attack them, allowing such a war, seems to be wishful thinking for Israel’s hawkish far-right.
I hope Iran does strike so Israel can bomb Assad to pieces and show the world how a Russian client state’s dictator cannot be protected by anyone. This will allow Syria to be divided with a permanent base for America’s military inside Syria and alleviating the need for the Turkish bases we have in the region.In reality the Turks are opportunist that cannot be trusted,playing both sides in this disastrous conflict and they need America more than we need them.It also shows Erdogan how reliable Russia is and he’ll have to come to a decision stay in NATO or join the Eurasia Group a pathetic bunch dependant on Daddy Putin’s handouts. In the meantime America is building up capabilities on all levels and thanks to Russia and it’s presentation of a nuke dropping on Florida, we’re developing the deadliest nuclear arsenal the world has ever seen but,we won’t put them on display that’s what countries that are afraid of a more powerful nation’s military do as a deterrent.

One of my sons is serving stationed in Guam. My perspective is one built through sacrifice and dedication to a nation of ideals and of humbled inclusion . I believe in my country and understand the cost of what it takes to defend its liberty against all enemies foreign and domestic.

Personally, I don’t agree with the prohibition of so-called “hate speech”. I think that so-called
“hate speech” should be among the most protected. Nothing needs sunshine — and thus “protection” — more than this most disapproved of speech. Crimea was transferred to the Ukraine by communist dictator Nikita Khrushchev. Historically it was part of Russia. Uncle Sam likely thinks that was a good idea. That would mean he has a fondness for communists and/or authoritarian governments. The will of the people be damned.
