At least 49 people were killed and scores wounded in a suicide bombing in Ibb, in central Yemen, which targeted a Shi’ite religious celebration that was attended by a number of leaders of the Houthi rebels.
The Houthis have advanced into cities like Ibb, which were in al-Qaeda territory, in recent month, and al-Qaeda has launched a number of suicide attacks against them.
How many Houthis were among the killed and wounded is unclear, but leaders called it a “massacre,” adding that many women and children were also wounded in the incident.
So was the city’s governor, according to reports, though he is expected to survive. So far al-Qaeda hasn’t claimed credit for the attack, though it is widely expected that they will.
"Al-Qaeda" is a Saudi outfit, run by a Saudi agent. "Suicide" bombings are just regular bombings with an unsuspecting victim carrying explosives, or an unsuspecting truck driver hired by a fake company and instructed where to go. The explosives are all remotely activated. The sudden reactivation of fake AQAP came on the heals of the deal between Shiia tribes of the north, and Sunni tribes of the south. That was the dividing line for centuries, even during Ottoman Empire. That was a stable political map. But that would mean effective freedom for the Hadramouth and Aden, as well as Shiia ruled north from Sana'a with the port of Hoddeidah. That Saudi regime or US do not like, hence, AQAP is given green light to do "whatever it takes' to torpedo the deal. Also, here and there US drones hit some "AQAP", but in fact, the hits are always against the south secessionists. They are the weaker then Houthis, and hence, easier target. Also, being Sunni, it is easier to pay poor young to join "AQAP", as Saudi Wahhabis fund religious leaders that would preach the extremism under the banner of Salafism or Khalifate.
