A bloody Friday for Ukraine gave way to more fighting over the weekend, as the military continued its invasion of cities in the Donetsk Oblast, focusing mostly on the area around Kramatorsk, Slovyansk, and Kostyanynivka.
While the invasion focused on Slovyansk on Friday, the weekend saw mostly attacks in Kramatorsk, where local militias clashed with the invading armored personnel carriers, leaving 10 dead, including at least two soldiers.
After Friday’s attack on Slovyansk saw the military losing two helicopters to shoot-downs, the military is now focused on cutting that city off from the rest of the region, with the military effectively blocking the main road into town.
Much of the military’s focus in the early hours of the fighting was destroying protester checkpoints, and while they reportedly destroyed quite a few the protesters have been rebuilding most of them in fairly short order.
Somewhere and somehow Obama has turned his "socialist" politics into a "careful" politics with no ideology whatsoever involving his politics. No ideology means having no idea what I am doing, just doing it in case something happens, now if the policy is personal or just politics and will kill 150.000 thousands or 10 people that's not his nor his appointees concern, like general schwartzkof who ordered the killing of 200.000 Iraqis leaving Kuwait on the highway that later was named "the highway of death", in reality the actual order was by Bush, Tony Blair, the Saudis-Wahhabis, the NATO countries and their government, kings and queens as the Swedish king, so murdering people by thousands or 10 has no meaning to these people nor their falsified democracy, they simply find a way to lie about their killing habit.
The Ukrainians are pursuing a perfect strategy. Ukraine is the legitimate sovereign power in the area and is entitled to enforce its laws. The majority of the population in all these areas is ethnic Ukrainian and there is no reason to believe that that majority wants to be annexed to Russia. Basically, the majority has been kidnapped by the mercenaries and, one assumes, intimidated into silence. Logically, their government is doing what it takes to rescue its citizens. A similar situation would be dealt with in a similar way in any country you care to name, not least, indeed, the US.
I'm interested in where you think the Kiev junta got its "legitimacy" and "sovereignty."
If course, as an anarchist I don't really accept such claims on the part of ANY state, but still theirs seem even weaker than most.
Question: If I go to Tallahassee with an M-16 and manage to successfully storm the state capitol, do I immediately and magically become the "legitimate" governor of the "sovereign" state of Florida?
Yes you would be what NATO calls the legitimate governor in Ukraine
Well OK then!
