With the ongoing civil war in Syria getting more and more complicated by the minute, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon has issued a public call for US military involvement, saying it was vital for the US to stop Assad from retaining power.
Ya’alon went on to announce a new “axis of evil,” which he described as including Iran, Syria and Lebanon, and insisted it was “forbidden” to allow them to win the civil war, which is being fought against an increasingly al-Qaeda-dominated rebellion.
Ya’alon’s position is in direct conflict with the CIA’s own assessment, which put Syria’s civil war as a “top threat” to US national security on the grounds that Assad losing and al-Qaeda taking over would be a disastrous situation. Yet it’s the one Israel is apparently shooting for.
The comments of the Israeli DM also reflect an obsession with Iran, as he declared “the Iranian regime is involved in every conflict in this region.” It’s a great soundbite for the Iran-obsessed hawks, but it is a bizarre comment as well, because a number of growing conflicts in the region, including the fighting in Egypt and Yemen’s fight with al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), arguably the most high profile fights in the Middle East outside of Syria, don’t even tangentially involve Iran.
Look who is talking: the chief evil (Satan) said to himself, humans will never see me, nor feel me existed if it was not for the devilish acts. Now proving this argument about the chief evil, stealing the Palestinian land, demolishing their homes and villages yet calling it "settlement" is the chief evil act thinking that humans won't see or feel the devil.
One might guess from this that AQ is their tool and Iran is their scapegoat, but the latter is not a guess at all.
'AQ' just ousted FSA from it's HQ, and Ya'alon sez this! So when has AQ acted contrary to Israeli interests?
For one thing, if AQ did Kahane, how was that a problem for Israel? Kahane also reiterated to Mike Wallace that he thought his assassin would be Jewish.
And if AQ catalyzed the sale of Enemy Brand Name = terrorism, how was that contrary to Israel's self-perceived interests? They'd been selling that one for years even as they deliberately provoked an occupied population –e.g., the Broken Bones Policy.

Offhand, Israel's ADL spies on US citizens and was 'caught' in the 90s (Blankfort: http://www.counterpunch.org/2013/06/12/adl-spies/ ), but we're only to be horrified that now the US NSA, via contractors that happen to have included Israeli companies, spies on us -damn that Obama!! So now it's been ok to act mildly perturbed about how US allies itself with AQ for years. So what is Israel's relationship with the franchise?

Al Quaeda is the name of an FBI database and not the name of a group. In this database all US/UK employees who commit acts of terror for the terror group Israel are listed. Of course they will only attack on behalf of their masters and always US targets like the WT in New York on 9/11.

Hopefully this will put to rest the stupid notion that the Israelis would rather have Assad in power than a fractured, failed Syrian state… That never made any sense but every "wannabe pundit" in the media has touted that idiocy.
Israel needs the Syrian military degraded so it can go through Syrian territory to attack Hizballah in Lebanon via the Bekaa Valley. That's the entire purpose of the Syrian crisis. Once Syria and Hizballah's missile arsenals have been taken out, Israel and the US can start the Iran war.
Once Syria falls then it will be smooth sailing into Iran, cant stop the infidels from dreaming.
Ya – I'm sure that Israel DOES want the US to spend its soldiers and its money. If you could talk some fool into fighting your fights for you, don't you think you would? And don't you think too that you might be more prone to pick a fight if you had that arrangement?
