Iraqi cleric Moqtada al-Sadr today admonished his followers not to launch any attacks against US forces in the nation, saying that he didn’t want to give the US any excuses to remain beyond the Status of Forces Agreement deadline, which would have US troops leaving at the end of December. This came with a corollary warning, as Sadr added that any troops remaining after December would be attacked.
How would Americans like it if there were Iraqi or Arab troops occuping THEIR country?

Because our US Empire plunders by brutal imperialism, we Americans have the highest standard of living in the world. As most every American knows it, this means the lubricant that gets things done is not our being terrorized by government, but bribed by government.
I beg to differ sir. With a few exceptions, Americans are IMPOVERISHED, not enriched by imperial hegemony.
Seems to me that that message is exceedingly clear and without any ambiguity at all. Do you think it will sink in? Do you think that that message will be passed on thru the FCM to the American people? Do you think that we'll hear that message passed on in one of Obama's special addresses to a Joint Session? Hold that thought…
How blunt can they be leave they were invaded based on lies and never had weapons of mass destruction or anything to do with 9/11.The war is illegal and 100 of thousands are dieing.America needs to leave the more people they kill the more people hate them.
The idea of American exceptionalism reeked through every commemoration held over the weekend, remembering 9/11. The world was asked to stand still and ponder the tragedy of the 9/11 events (which they were) and the death of about 3000 Americans. I didn't hear one word of sorrow for the almost one million Iraquis and Afghanastnanis killed in retaliation and vengence by the American war machine. Do the math. Three thousand Americans are so important. One million Arabs, etc. are not worth the mention. Until Americans return to believing in the value of all human life, their return to primitive principles will continue. Americans are exceptional in theri exceptionally stupid foreign policty.
and I have yet to hear any official give any but goofy explanations for 9/11, the real reason is that 9/11 was retaliation for continuous US slaughter around the world.
Sadr didn't even have to announce his plans, other than calling off the dogs while we're packing our trash. I've always regarded it as a given that any of our troops (including civilian 'contractors', armed or otherwise) left in-country after December is a walking target.
I do have a question, though- will armed civilian contractors who remain in Iraq and are captured be liable for indefinite imprisonment without trial and torture for being 'enemy combatants'? And what will the US response to this be? After all, they're just imitating the model of democracy and justice, right?
spend billions, kill millions, lose thousands based on lies to ultimately end up with another Saddam, but this time friendly to Iran…who put that together again? Must have had their brains stuck on stupid.
Why wait so long?
good question
