Ukraine’s interim Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, currently leading the military invasion of cities across eastern Ukraine, has demanded that the local population stop their “foolish behavior” and start endorsing the offensive.
“The situation has become black and white,” Avakov declared after announcing 20 “terrorists” were killed in today’s attack on Mariupol, ominously adding of opponents that “there can be only one answer from the Ukrainian state – annihilation.”
Avakov was elected to parliament for the first time in 2012, as a member of the Fatherland Party’s list, notably while under house arrest in Italy awaiting criminal charges related to illegal land transfers.
Avakov had previously served in several positions in Kharkiv’s provincial government, and oversaw the military’s conquest of the city last month, declaring himself the “Supreme Secretary of Kharkiv.”
Antiwar is quoting the US NAZI-terrorists: "20 “terrorists” were killed" – it were 20 civilians !
How can US-financed violent terrorists be called "Ukraine Interior Minister" by an Antiwar organization??? Why does antiwar support political coups that clearly lead to civil wars and real wars – possilbly WW3 ?
How can the US assassinate it's own citizens, how can the US invade a sovereign nation on false pretenses, how can the US indefinitely suspend habeas corpus, and can the US authorize warrantless wiretaps on it's citizens,……..?
Very encouraging! If all Mr Ditz can find to say is to smear Avakov then thing are obviously going very well for the Ukrainian Government.
Avakov must be judgeg by La Hague tribunal for crimes on civilians
The US installed and supported "interim government" began with violence, blood, pain, and fear. They have little to offer Ukraine's people except much more of the same. "Supreme Secretary of Kharkiv" (a typically grandiose fascist title) Avakov pretty much guarantees it with his talk of annihilating opponents of the unelected government. IMF wanted a unified Ukraine. Will they settle for a depopulated burned out wasteland?
Perhaps there are some reasonable people at the IMF who will reconsider funding the interim Ukraine government. One of the "terms" required by the IMF is that the government be stable and I suspect that internal conflict (civil war) would invalidate any loan…a reasonable person would think…
