In a speech at Police National Headquarters to tout the war, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted the war dealt a decisive blow to factions in the Gaza Strip, while insisting Israel is “prepared” to start a new attack at any time.
Though Netanyahu originally couched the comment as a readiness to retaliate if attacked, he later went on to suggest that Israel would decide “when to act, against whom and in what fashion,” saying that the ceasefire was good “for the moment.”
Defense Minister Ehud Barak seemed to take a similar position, saying in comments today that Israel might get into another fight with Hamas “in the near future,” while insisting the goals were all achieved.
Army Chief of Staff Benny Gantz also said that all of the objectives of the war were already accomplished, which raises both the question of what the goals actually were, and if they are all achieved why Netanyahu is talking up another war just a day later.
The only objective that Israel had was for part of Gaza to be destroyed and almost 200 people killed and more then 800 people injured and according to Israelis they have achieved it.., so what should rest of the world do.., to say job well done or that Israel did a job of Hitlerism and want to continue doing the same with rest of the world if world is going to remain silence about what Israel is and what it can do…?
Benny is as crazy as a loon! His country just had its butt kicked and he's talking about more war! The IDF weren't even game to invade Gaza!
That the U.S. is allied with this simpleton is a measure of its stupidity. But then, America is like a large mirror of Israel. It too is drunk on power!
The world must join together to fight against the danger that these two rogue nations pose!
The only solution.

Every compassionate human being should print at least one photo of the Gaza dead and wounded, write a few words of their choosing, place it in an envelope, and send it to Obama at the White House. If possible, duplicate and send to your representatives, and offices of newspapers. Do this daily or weekly – as often as your time permits you. Spending a few minutes of your time and a few dollars on stamps can go a long way. Let your compassionate ACTIONS shield the Gazans.
We need to break the circle with our actions – not just our sympathies. Please pass on and encourage your friends to do
"all of the objectives of the war were already accomplished"!!!What objectives? The power of Gaza remained untouched or wad touched in no considerable way.Bibi will not dare to attack again Gaza and this war was a clear defeat for Israel.Israeli "brave" public is ready to suffer more but the army to revenge their humiliation. If Israeli public is brave then the Gaza people are super glorious.
Maybe the furniture salesman from Philadelphia should have pulled out his Wile E. Coyote ACME-brand bomb to make short work of the Road Runner, I mean those pesky Gazans and their horrifying flying drain pipes.
Zionist wars of aggression — Based on false illusion of intent
Classic Zionist smokescreen, always directing attention toward their enemy’s intent, always some excuse to get preemptive.
So, forget all motives and past intent, for Zionists have expansion as their only goal and the lubricant that gets things done is wars of aggression.
Netanyahu sounds like a general who lost a war, declared himself the victor, then beat a hasty retreat.
Jason the scribe. No analysis, no research, just a scribe for his masters: "Netanyahu insisted", "Netanyahu originally couched", "Netanyahu went on to suggest", "Barak saying", " Gantz also said".
Sabah, do you think we don’t know that?
So we give the job to you,
so lay it on us.
The general Netanyahu most likely sounds like here, had to be Napoleon, who lost a war in Russia, declared victory, then beat the hastiest retreat from that icy cold region ever.
Hello, I apologize if this post is somewhat off topic here, but in a debate with someone concerning the recent Israeli – Palestinian struggle, he cited the following:
"The Arab Population under Israeli Rule Grew More than in Any Other Preceding Period
The non-Jewish component of Jerusalem's population grew steadily since 1967 when it totaled 26.6% and rose to 31.7% in the year 2000. Furthermore, according to predictions, this relative rate will continue to climb and will total 37.8% in the year 2020. According to Israel Kimhi, who previously served as the Jerusalem town planner: "In a paradoxical fashion, the Arab population of Jerusalem and its environs grew at a more rapid rate in the course of the last 30 years under Israeli rule than in any other era during the 20th century.""
He then used this to "refute" claims that Israel has committed widespread human rights abuses or has any intent in performing at least some form of Ethnic Cleansing. Can anyone point to sources that call into question this particular demographic claim?
I think Israel does not have the psychological comfort that makes it easily decide to launch another war against Gaza. The social sufferings which the Israeli people went through as a result of the rockets launched from Gaza during the last war would make Israel think million times before taking a decision to practice another a military attack on Gaza. Especially, after Hamas and the other militant groups announced that they still have many "surprises" to show up in case Israel tries to violate the current ceasefire in the region. http://israelandhamas2012.blogspot.com/
