Despite an almost ridiculous number of human rights violations over the past several months, the Obama Administration has announced that it plans to renew arms sales to Bahrain, including the sale of bunker buster missiles to the tiny island monarchy.

who rules Bahrain and what they have done is besides the point we are simply arming one of the proxies who will participate in our war on iran.
or do you actually think an island regime with the full support of the united states and all its neighbors needs bunker busters to defend against peaceful protest

I can't see how providing massive amounts of arms to every nation in the middle east is going to do anything except create a situation where anyone of those "benevolent rulers" can have a bad day at the track (or stock market) and set off the entire middle east. Brzezinski's The Grand Chessboard discusses the issues surrounding the US's remaining the world's singular superpower (written in 1997) but I'm sure he didn't envision turning the entire region into rubble to do it. And the specious argument put forth by the State Dept for selling these arms to Bahrain doesn't seem to be attached to reality.
This administration continues to display no clear (and surely logical) foreign policy direction. Selling arms to everyone who asks is not a plan that has a good ending – regardless of how good their money is. Fools, all.

US resumes arms sales to Bahrain? You mean to tell me that they actually stopped at some point?

It has a clear foreign policy direction ….. making money for the merchants of death who make the arms and weapons and ammo. And, if they can support a murderous tyrannical regime along the way, then so much the better.
