Obama Slams North Korea But Mum on Response
Calls for International Opposition to North Korea
In an interview to be broadcast of Friday President Obama condemned North Korea for its involvement in a clash earlier this week with South Korea, saying it was “just one more provocative incident” from the North.
Obama went on to say that he would be “talking to the president of Korea this evening and we’ll be consulting closely with them in terms of the appropriate response.” South Korean President Lee Myung-bak has called for massive retaliation against the North, but it was unclear what he said in his talks with President Obama.
In any case US officials have promised to cooperate in whatever further escalation the South Korean government sees fit, but recent polls showing the American public opposes the involvement of US combat troops in yet another Korean War may give them some pause.
US officials have demanded that the international community unite to condemn North Korea and it seems that, at least until the South Korean president decides otherwise, this is going to be the extent of the US response. Given President Lee’s hawkish stands toward the North, this could mean almost anything for the 28,000 US troops deployed along the border.

No Mr. Obama. The last thing we need right now is to get involved in that Korean mess. Isn't the war in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan exciting enough? When I voted for you I did not expect this kind of escalation. By the way, I did not vote for Petraeus..

why not just give them 20 -40 stealth fighters 3,000,000,000 dollars and a promise never to let the un condemn them.
on condition that the north not attack anyone for the next 90 days

That the FedGov has to issue demands to the world to condemn the North Koreans gives the lie to the story that the attack was unprovoked.

US officials "demand", President Dumb-Ass maintains "we stand shoulder to shoulder with South Korea", "cooperate in whatever escalation", and blah blah blah.
Myung-bak gets military on North Korea and Myung-bak is likely to be glowing embers by days end. That of course will trigger US "intervention" and Slaughterhouse Korea is on.
Happy Thanksgiving Day moms all across our once great nation, even MORE of your kids will be coming home unexpectedly. You know, that 'unexpectedly dead' motif?

LOL…. Woot! Now that is funny. But you'd have to have your agents all over DC and they don't blend in as well as those special ones.
