Both the US and Iraq are reporting having carried out multiple airstrikes against ISIS territory in eastern Syria. The strikes destroyed ISIS assets and killed scores of fighters according to the reports.
Iraq reported their attacks were the larger ones of the day, with two attacks destroying two warehouses full of weapons, killing at least 40 ISIS fighters within. This is the latest in a series of Iraqi attacks across the border.
US strikes, on the other hand, pounded the town of Hanin, one of the ISIS-held towns that are being attacked by the Kurdish YPG. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 16 ISIS fighters were killed.
Recent US-led attacks in the far east of Syria have killed well over 100 civilians. Though there were no reports of civilian deaths today in the strikes, that they keep striking inside populated areas is likely to ensure more deaths in the future.
