When Israel attacks Syria, and claims they’re doing so because they want to attack Iran, US officials can’t wait to endorse those. A number of officials, particularly in the Pentagon, are worrying that the US troops in Syria might be made a target by all of this.
Israel was striking sites across Syria several times a week for quite some time, though they’ve been quiet since Russia delivered S-300 defensive systems to Syria. These advanced systems are believed to be a major obstacle to Israeli attacks.
But to hear Israel tell it, the S-300 won’t have any impact on their attacks, and the fact that they haven’t attacked since is coincidental. The Pentagon is concerned that when the attacks restart, however, they’ll be making the US a target.
The Pentagon seems not to have a solution, instead insisting that Israel has an “inherent right to self-defense” in attacking Syria, but that those attacks are totally independent of the US’ own operations in Syria.
“Defense”, just as the USA pretends all its belligerence and killing wherever it pleases is also “defense”. USA/Israel-same values.
American Administrations have always been Faithful to Zionist Israel’s Interests and never cared for American Forces Lives, instead, American Forces are usually Sacrificed for Israel’s Benefits. PERIOD.
Having some Americans killed in blow back is Israel’s dream
“The Pentagon seems not to have a solution, instead insisting that Israel has an “inherent right to self-defense” in attacking Syria”
How can it be a self defense when there is no attack?!!!
The risk to US troops comes from invading and occupying part of Syria, and from setting up a Kurdish zone with promises of independence, and from actions aimed directly at Russia, such as the drone attack on its base that Russia says was managed by a USN aircraft.
What Israel adds to that risk is a constant shower of sparks.
I couldn’t agree more, Mark, the risk to US troops from invading and occupying parts of Syria, and from setting up a Kurdish zone with promises of independence, along with actions aimed directly at Russia, such as the attempted drone attack on its base that Russia says was controlled by a USN aircraft.
Fortunately, that drone attack was thwarted by Russia by means of jamming the controlling aircraft’s software (the drones themselves fell to the ground and the aircraft left the scene).
Following the shoot-down of an IL-20 aircraft that killed its crew of 15 men, Russian SU-25 fighter jets shot down a few Israeli aircraft in retaliation. The Russians also declared a no-fly zone in that area.
F-35 is still grounded, no? Would that not put a big damper on plans to silence the S-300 batteries?
The Zionist entity is a place of impunity, lawlessness, and sociopathy. To defend Israel is to defend the behaviors of the SS in World War 2 Germany. Lets hope those S-300’s find plenty of terrorist IDF planes and shoots them down in droves…
Pentagon sycophants are nauseating.
