In an interview with a French newspaper, South Korean President Moon Jae-in praised progress on denuclearization with North Korea, saying that Kim remains “sincere, calm, and polite,” but is growing frustrated at international mistrust.
Moon has been advancing the idea of a peace deal, and also says the international community should be rewarding North Korea to “assure Kim Jong Un that he took the right decision in deciding to denuclearize.”
Several nations have raised the possibility of easing sanctions on North Korea at the UN, with Russia and China both endorsing that idea. The US has been loudly resisting this idea, insisting that sanctions if anything should be tightened.
Moon is visiting France earlier this weeks, and is to meet with President Macron on Monday. Moon has been an outspoken supporter of diplomatic progress with North Korea, and eager to sell the idea of progress internationally.
I hope Macron is receptive. Moon deserves to be listened to, and of course the USA’s behavior, as usual, is unreasonable. There need to be compromises and a peace treaty after 68 years is not impossible.
Than South Korea should reward N Korea .nobody would dare to try stop them .

If the South tried that, Washington would use that has a weapon against both Koreas. Then SKorea would lose its leverage as “broker”.
It is usually a mistake to copy MSM headlnes which often support wrongful US policy. President Moon did not say Chairman Kim “should be rewarded,” he indicated that the two countries should proceed in implementing the Panmunjon Declaration as the two Koreas and the US have agreed to do.
Meanwhile the two Koreas are moving ahead on their own to implement Panmunjon, as agreed by all, and “details will be shared with the United States and other nations.”
