In a 423-2 vote, the US House of Representatives has passed the Iran Ballistic Missiles and International Sanctions Enforcement Act,” which intends to impose sanctions of the Iranian government as well as international entities that are determined by the president to “support” Iran.
The resolution isn’t specifically related to Iran’s nuclear deal, though Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), the bill’s sponsor, presented it and several other anti-Iran resolutions making their way through the House as proof Congress is responding to “the full range of threats” from Iran.
It is unclear when this resolution will be taken up by the Senate, but historically, anti-Iran sanctions have been a relatively easy pass in Congress, with most eager to get their vote down in favor on nearly any pretext.
The sole no votes were from Reps. John Duncan (R-TN) and Thomas Massie (R-KY). Massie in particular has a long history of opposing sanctions bills as raising the risk of war, and he voted against North Korea’s sanctions bill only yesterday.
Money bags are watching…
Why did it take so long to transcribe from the Hebrew instructions? Normally it is quicker.

Washington is in a tizzy over Iran because the Iranians have the balls to stand up to the US. Iran isn’t an aggressive nation, but you can bet your bottom dollar they’re not going to roll over for some hot air politicians halfway around the world. Iran knows the rest of the world is watching as well, and the rest of the world is getting a front-row seat to watch how inconstant and duplicitous the US is as both and ally and as partner in international agreements. I have a sneaky feeling this whole anti-Iran thing is going to blow up in Washington’s face and we are going to be left with a lot less friends in the world before it’s over.
I note with the appropriate sarcasm no sanctions are being considered against Israel for its ICBMs.
what about ICBM? Israel can have anything they want. !
Being a puppet to Israel is destroying America
Notice the uptick in Iran allegations lately? Even Iran being more responsible than the Saudis regarding 9/11. Just a matter of time before we fight another war for the little apartheid practicing parasite.
“In a 423-2 vote, the US House of Representatives”…
Remember the days when we all laughed at the wicked Communist countries with everyone voting one way? How many of these “Reps” represent American human beings in their electorates, or even ask them what they think? They vote for a budget full of WMD and with no help to the people they “represent” except jobs in each electorate to produce more killing power.
Astute observation.
Yes, Congress is pretty much a rubber stamp on the Military-Industrial Complex’s demands these days.
American law prohibits “foreign aid” to any country which has not signed the “Nuclear Non-proliferation Act” treaty and to any country that will not abide by “International Atomic Energy Agency” guidelines on the inspection of nuclear weapons and facilities.
Israel refuses to do either, but is STILL the number one recipient of American largesse (foreign aid), loan forgiveness and weapons acquisition, all paid for by the American taxpayers.
