Speaking to the BBC today, President Obama “ruled out” sending ground troops to Syria, even though he’s already sent 50 troops to the country, and has been reported for months to be planning a major escalation of that.
And the escalation didn’t take long, for even as Obama’s comments were being publicized, US officials confirmed that Obama is planning to send another 250 ground troops into Syria to join the troops already there. This was said to have been on the upper end of the proposals being pushed by the Pentagon.
This only adds to the farce surrounding the ISIS war, which started with President Obama vowing “no boots on the ground,” and now covers not just the 300 troops that will be in Syria after this escalation, but over 5,000 US ground troops in Iraq, including some participating in direct combat operations.
President Obama sought to revise his comments in December, claiming “no boots on the ground” really just meant no full combat battalions, though even in this case the distinction is seeming less meaningful, as the US has many battalions worth of troops on the ground in Iraq, and has for months.
They continue to deceive the world. It may lead to an extremely dangerous situation when confronting Russia in the process. What will happen if the Syrian army clashes with American ground troops and some of them are killed?
This country can’t stop truck loads of heroin from entering our borders from Mexico and we are going to transport troops 8,000 miles away to take on a half dozen radical Islamic groups waging war against each other? I agree with Trump on this one…let them fight their own wars that clearly have no end game.

When are people going to realize that Obama is a serial liar who says one thing in public then does the exact opposite in private?
The goal since Day One has been to destabilize Syria as a justification for military intervention to degrade Syria’s military in order for Israel to attack Hizballah in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley through Syrian territory – all of which is preparation for a war with Iran. Obama has NEVER wavered from that goal, despite all the supposed “pundits” and “antiwar activists” saying he has. Every step taken has been a slow progression to that end – and the only reason it hasn’t happened yet is the interventions of China and Russia in the UNSC and Russia on the ground in Syria.
Obama will keep the progression going slowly until his term is ended, counting on whoever follows him to escalate the situation more and more until eventually events allow the plan to unfold in full.
And all the while we’ll be told that nothing like that is in the cards by people who should know better.
The all volunteer military men and women need actual trigger times in order to stay in tip top physical and mentally conditioning for the time in future when they will face formal national defence forces of China, N. Korea, Iran and Russia.
Lets hope it is a gentlemen agreement to only destroy some poor third world nation.

I worry somewhat over next real war, not senceless killing of Black and Brown Skinned moving targets but a three pronged enemy of Russia, China and Iran battling all of NATO , Europes Brits now heightened blood lusting military led by Berni, Hillary, or Trump.
There is not a one of US leadrs who does not continuinue the yearly killings.
