With a Sunday conference coming up in Rome to discuss Libya, it seems expanding the ISIS war out of Iraq and Syria is all but a foregone conclusion, with Britain, France, and Italy all talking up the idea today in separate comments.
French PM Manuel Valis suggested that expanding into Libya was important because of growing efforts to radicalize French citizens. French officials have eagerly escalated attacks on ISIS targets in Syria in recent weeks, but with many of those attacks hitting empty fields, they may like to try a different nation full of targets.
Italian PM Matteo Renzi, who only last week rejected calls to join the ISIS war in Syria, is also suggesting he’s totally open to sending forces into Libya, though unlike the French he is said to want UN authorization before the deployment.
Interestingly enough, Renzi’s rejection of involvement in Syria was couched as specifically because of what a disaster the NATO intervention in Libya was, and how it left that nation in an even bigger mess than it found it. That apparently doesn’t preclude the Italian premier from wanting to try that again.
British officials, by contrast, aren’t publicly commenting on it, but privately are saying that Libya is almost certain to be “next” in the ever-expanding war. This soon after getting a hotly debated parliamentary vote through on Syria, however, the Cameron government may struggle to push through a Libya resolution as well.
The so called and "ISIS" is totally a creation of the rulers of the United Arab Emirates who have their sinister plan for the country.Because they could not through their Libyan cronies establish much control of the country ,they resort to this diabolical from hell strategy in order to goad other countries into supporting sending forces into Libya in support of the faction that the Emirates have supported for long against the wishes and aspirations of most Libyans.A faction that include Hafter and his militia.
Since the rulers of the Emirates could not accomplish in Libya what they were able to do in Egypt of installing a military dictator ,instead they choose a much devilish plan.Is not strange that few weeks ago the US claimed that they killed an"ISIS" leader in Derna when he was certainly to be captured by the people of the city fighting "ISIS" in their city and was certainly be routed by the actions of the city people without any support from any one?
The UK ,France ,and Italy had their own imperialistic designs on Libya where they dream of dividing among themselves. The question that should be asked is why now.
"A top-secret strategy document prepared for Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan reveals that the United Arab Emirates is losing faith in the ability of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to serve the Gulf state’s interests.
The document, prepared by one of Bin Zayed’s team and dated 12 October, contains two key quotes which describe the frustration bin Zayed feels about Sisi, whose military coup the Crown Prince bankrolled, pouring in billions of dollars along with Saudi Arabia. It says: “This guy needs to know that I am not an ATM machine.” Further on, it also reveals the political price the Emiratis will exact if they continue to fund Egypt.
Future strategy should be based on not just attempting to influence the government in Egypt but to control it. It is summarised thus: “Now I will give but under my conditions. If I give, I rule.” http://www.middleeasteye.net/news/exclusive-emira…
These are just few example to farther expose the evil machinations that the rulers of the United Arab Emirates have followed in regards to the internal affairs of Libya :
"At least 30 Libyan nationals have been arrested in the United Arab Emirates, including an Al-Jazeera employee.
A source close to two of the men arrested identified them as Salem Elaradi and Mohamed Elaradi.
They told Middle East Eye that the two men were both businessmen who had been residing in the UAE for more than 10 years and that their arrest was “obviously to do with political grudges,” although they both held “no political positions.” http://www.middleeasteye.net/news/least-30-libyan…
" The UN Special Envoy to Libya, Bernardino Leon, a former Spanish socialist politician, has opted to take a high-paying job in the UAE as the head of the Emirate's diplomatic academy after his term as envoy expires.
This manifest impropriety – working for a prime supporter of one of the main factions in the Libya civil war – is only the tip of scandal. Leon’s leaked emails released by the Guardian and Middle East Eye show an even more perverse tale: he coordinated his UN negotiation strategy with Emirati officials and their Libyan allies. In his own words, he sought to help the Emirates achieve their region-wide objective of defeating the Muslim Brotherhood and their Tripoli-based ally, the General National Congress, by delegitimising their representatives and by not according them an equal seat at the negotiating table alongside the pro-UAE House of Representatives."http://www.middleeasteye.net/columns/scandals-libya-1435127613#sthash.92rCd3nm.dpuf
These are just a drop in the ocean .
In regard to French and the Brits,
" Mr Blumenthal told Mrs Clinton that MI6 and its French counterpart, the DGSE, were secretly encouraging rebels in eastern Libya to establish "a semi-autonomous zone" outside the control of the new government.
The plot was allegedly instigated by advisors to the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, who believed that the new Libyan government was not "rewarding" French businesses for France's role in overthrowing Gaddafi.
He alleged that MI6 joined in the plan "at the instruction of the office of Prime Minister David Cameron".
"The French and British intelligence officials believe that the semi-autonomous regime in the eastern city of Benghazi will be able to organise business opportunities in that region," he wrote. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/hillary…
