Speaking today at the Aspen Security Forum and with an eye on his demands for more surveillance powers and “back doors” in all commercial encryption software, FBI chief James Comey declared that ISIS is a bigger threat than al-Qaeda, and a huge domestic threat.
To back this up, Comey claimed ISIS has 21,000 English language followers on Twitter, and that conceivably a lot of those followers could be inside the United States, and subsequently might attack the US at some point in the future.
Comey has recently praised Twitter for its support for FBI investigations of Islamist communication, and reiterated his concerns about private communication today, saying he worries “very much about what I can’t see” and therefore needs to be able to see everything.
Comey went on to brag of FBI arrests of a “significant number” of people in the last eight weeks for being “radicalized,” though he offered no details on who all these people are and what, beyond Twitter, they were actually doing.
No doubt "IS" is a bigger threat than AQ…for Middle Easterners.
How many of these followers are fellow travelers and how many are people who are against them but follow them in order to keep an eye out on what they are saying? How many of them are actually employees of various security firms? How many are people who attack them every time they post something.
Those numbers are misleading and Comey knows it.

Fear….fear….be afraid….be afraid….send us more money….send us more money…fear….fear…we will protect you…yeah, right.
March 2015 at TED2015 Trevor Aaronson: How this FBI strategy is actually creating US-based terrorists
There's an organization responsible for more terrorism plots in the United States than al-Qaeda, al-Shabaab and ISIS combined,'The FBI'! How? Why?
In an eye-opening talk, investigative journalist Trevor Aaronson reveals a disturbing FBI practice that breeds terrorist plots by exploiting Muslim-Americans with mental health problems.

"Comey claimed ISIS has 21,000 English language followers on Twitter"
… and 20,000 are cops spying on each other!
Both al-Qaeda and ISIS pose near zero threat to USA. But the news item is just saying which organization poses more threat. So if threat level of one organization is 0.001 and the other one is 0.002 then you can say the other one is 'twice as likely to cause harm'. 21000 twitter followers, of which unknown numbers in the USA, of these most are probably the so-called terrorism experts and FBI informants. If there is no command and control structure they can always claim it to be "ISIS inspired" something that can neither be proved nor disproved. After getting rid of the boogeyman (OBL) the perpetual-war lobby was so quick in creating a new one. Amazing.
The threat they actually pose is impossible to stop. Thousands of nukes pointed at us couldn't scare us as much as pressure cookers could. The propaganda machine at its finest.
