Over the last several days, the White House has trumpeted the planned visit of Saudi King Salman to the White House, saying it was a major move to consult on “bilateral issues.” Tonight, the Saudis announced the king isn’t coming.
In a move which Arab officials say is a “sign of disappointment” about the White House’s stance on Iran nuclear talks, the Saudis say they are planning to send the Interior Minister in the king’s stead.
Experts also believe the Saudis are angry about President Obama’s recent comments, in which he warned the Saudis and other GCC nations should worry more about internal unrest.
The Saudis had apparently been hoping to secure an official treaty in which the US would formally pledge military support to them in a future war against Iran, though the White House was trying to get by with simply a non-binding presidential statement on the matter.
Good. No one wants those scoundrels here, even if it's just for a visit.
The Saudis are not our friends. What will it take to get that message across to the American people? We are being worked by a bunch of sand ticks who don't give a ratsass about the American people – just our money and weapons – which we seem overly eager to send them.
We should not rule out another false flag event sponsored by the House of Saud.
curmudgeonvt — “The Saudis are not our friends”
Quite the reverse, for the upper half of America, they own all the wealth in America and trading Saudi oil for killing machines “Made in USA” is by far the best money maker known to man.
For the purpose of this world is to reach the ultimate conclusion of fiction, with Empire USA being a paradise for all who love to tell a lie, with the hypocrisy of our voting majority telling all the polls about how filled with compassion they are for those harmed by our wars of aggression, while they fill Congress with war hawk politicians most eager to enrich their long-term investments.
Isn't this the ultimate insult to Uncle Sam? It really demonstrates how utterly weak and pathetic the Obama Administration is. I expect the response to this face slap will be to speed up delivery of new weapons to the Saudis.
Other nations have been totally destroyed by Uncle Sam for far less. Americans think they are the kings of the world. The rest of the world seems to think otherwise.
The Carter Doctrine is that we will defend them against aggression. It is still in place. If protection is really what they want, then they've already got it.
If they need more, that can only mean they intend aggression themselves, and want the US to fight the war they start. That is outrageous, but not as unlikely as it sounds, since that is also the Israeli / AIPAC position.
