While US officials continue to try to downplay their involvement in the Saudi Arabian attack on Yemen, the Pentagon continues to increase overt US involvement above and beyond the in-air refueling missions initially announced.
Now, US warplanes are also being used to help select potential targets for Saudi planes, likely to be a controversial move since the Saudis have killed an enormous number of civilians in their strikes so far.
Perhaps even more surprisingly, US ships off the coast of Yemen have begun boarding ships and searching them, in hopes they might find “Iranian weapons” being delivered to Yemen’s Shi’ites. They haven’t found any.
The US is said to be counseling limited warfare to the Saudis, albeit unsuccessfully. Saudi officials continue to expand the goals of the conflict, believing they can win an absolute victory over the Houthi faction and reinstall a pro-Saudi regime in the country.
As long as there is a war, a war which will divide more of people's, nations unity in the region the USG the Israeli Netanyahu government, the Turkish erdogan regime and that Swedish king will be very happy. If nothing they will do everything and anything for this kind of war to continue, what USG is doing is part of that idea. But, you haven't seen nothing yet, wait for the next president, Hillary Clinton the chosen and auctioned one to become what the U.S. Capitalism regime hand in hand with high ranking anti democrats wants her to become the next president.
Yes we all know by now that the US is of course behind this dirty little war as well, When have the Saudi´s ever done anything beside practising wahhabism i.e chopping heads off, molesting kids, stone woman for whatever reason and embarrass themselves as drunken retards in EU/US? http://www.syrianperspective.com/2015/03/saudi-ni…
Aiding al-qaeda-isis as US/israel do in Syria/Iraq since they eagerly want a base here or the former Soviet one on the Yemeni island of Socotra in order to control the strait (from both sides, US is present in Djibouti on the opposite side).
But while the notorious US cowards are cruising up and down the strait looking for "Iranians" (not exactly clear what they would do if they find one), they couldn´t save the 4000 US citizens in Yemen because it is "too risky", apparently not risky enough for the Russians who have saved and continue to save as many as they can on planes and military vessels as we speak. But you wont hear anything about that in US MSM or indeed here at AW even though Kerry in-between the usual threats thanked the Russians for it.
US NOT saving it´s own citizens eh? I´m sure their crack-pot dictators and Nazi junta leaders in Ukraine, The Baltic´s and Georgia find .it very encouraging indeed.
Spot on, marc, on all points.
The good brings happiness most permanent — Evil endures only while the pleasure lasts
For notwithstanding, the courageous Houta government of Yemen fight’s on and endures. Most profound, the weakest of nations defying the two most powerful and corrupt countries the world has ever known, maybe it just could become contagious.
Thank you.
